6. It's the first live action Superman movie I liked.

Didn't like it when I first saw it, but liked it a lot more when I saw it again years later after hearing the arguments in its defense. Still has problems and parts of it I don't like but for the story it was trying it to tell, it is a fair 7 or 8.

it was far better then I expected. well I think it's around 7.5 to 8 for me. The movie was awesome and Fight scene were awesome, story was desent, villan was good.

8. Literally the only movie i cried for, which still perplexes me to this day. I didn't even really like superman that much when I watched it, but that movie changed everything.

8. Not perfect, but generally underrated. The first hour is pretty boring, but the last two hours are nonstop excitement.

If you had asked me this right after I saw it the first time, I would've given it a 5 or a 6, but after rewatching it, I've come to enjoy it more. I especially love the performances from Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and Micheal Shannon.

I'm one of the people who feels the 52% RT is right on the money. The general consensus was a fair assessment. MoS was a competent enough film but it did absolutely nothing for me.

It's typical 2.5/5 or 5/10 is a fair score.

It doesn't deserve the hate BvS and SS get but it doesn't deserve praise nether.

8. Never would have picked up a superman comic if not for that movie.

A solid 7, the opening act is amazing and the conclusion is pretty satisfying, the middle could have been a bit better.

Still, it was a pretty good movie, technically better than most Marvel movies, it just doesn't get the praise because its too demanding for the average dumb moviegoer

Well, its absolutely undeniable that from a technical standpoint Man of Steel is a good movie. Most Marvel movies are exactly that, "Marvel movies", they are not good pieces of cinema when you analyse them next to sci-fi classics like Alien or Blade Runner.

Man of Steel may not be perfect but at least it stands as a legit movie even if you look at it from outside the superhero genre

There's no conspiracy, bruh. MoS got exactly what it deserved.

DC's ability to fail is quite impressive tho. When MoS was coming out I just knew it was gonna be a monster hit cuz DC couldn't afford to fail coming in so late in the game and with people already doubting them so much. But we know how that turned out.

So After MoS failed I just knew DC/WB was gonna kill it with BvS cuz they knew first impression is the most important, they screwed the pooch with MoS AND they were playing catch up. Than BAMB! They sh* t out an even bigger flop than MoS. what. The. Fvck!

Then long story short general consensus placed SS under BvS!

DC has done unfixable damage to the DC brand. They won't recover this gen.

Let's not act like it's high art and only the truly deep and intellectual can understand it. You clearly misread my post because at no point did I say that Man of Steel redefined the genre, was as good as Alien and Blade Runner or high art. In fact if you go reread my posts like you should have done you would have seen that I said that the movie is flawed and only deserves 7/10 stars.

I guess you just decided to gloss over that fact and make up stuff that I didn't say because if you didn't you would have no way to attack me
