Punisher's Final Costume Revealed in Daredevil Promo

Season two of Daredevil is going to be one wild ride, with both Punisher and Elektra entering this season. Back in February, fans finally got to see Jon Bernthal as the Punisher in action; however, Bernthal hasn't been seen in the iconic skull emblem, until now.

Netflix India revealed a new promo image for the upcoming second season of Daredevil. In the image is Bernthal wearing an outfit that's very close to the comic book version of Punisher. In addition, Elodie Yung is in her full Elektra outfit, which is quite different than the comic book version, but it looks more practical for the series.

In an interview with Collider, showrunner Doug Petrie discussed Punisher's entrance:

"In that first episode where we’re so mysterious with him, if you know the character of Frank Castle, you're just going to go fanboy bananas because we really tease it out. And if you've never seen him before and are unfamiliar with the canon, it's still a pretty satisfying episode because something really powerful that is against what Matt stands for is now inexorably entering Matt's backyard."

See both Elektra and Punisher in season two of Daredevil, which comes to Netflix on March 18.

That's better, but Elektra could definitely use a wee bit more red. Also, I remember a funny excuse for why Daredevil should wear a more red outfit. Grace Randolph said that the red on Daredevil's costume brings a kinkiness to the character that makes him even more of a disturbing opponent to fight. It makes you think he gets off on fighting and therefore some people would think twice before fighting him. Character-wise, it makes more sense than the Bat-Nipples.

They're all looking good in my opinion. 10 more days.

They have such good actors for these TV characters. If they're smart and plan on bringing these into the movies they need to use the same actors.

It gives me hope that they nailed one of the simplest costumes in comics (looking at you War Zone).

They all look beyond amazing, especially Elektra love the ninja look. TV budget is no excuse for not having kick ass costumes. Game of Thrones already proved that theory very wrong and now Daredevil is laughing in its face.

Punisher looks good but I'm a little tired of the faded SKULL look. Kinda wish they'd just own it and make it bright white like in the comics. ELEKTRA could use some more red. Excited for the 18th!

Even though we don't see the whole thing, Elektra's costume is already a massive improvement over her one-piece red bathing suit from the comics, which why TF would anyone ever wear that?

Agreed that her comic costume is ridiculous. But there's no reason for the face mask, which looks like a cheesy add-on, and it could use more red. Although so could Daredevil's, for that matter.

Really liking Elektra's costume. It definitely makes her look like more of an assassin. And while the thing she usually wears on her head is a signature for her, it seems like it wouldn't be very practical for a tv show. Wouldn't it keep slipping off or something?

Pretty stoked for this. Can't wait to see what The Punisher and Elektra bring to the table.

Will they make a temporary sale of that Elektra series by Haden Blackman and Mike Del Mundo? Even better, will they bring back the same creative team for a new series?
