The news is in that Alan 'Al' Stone passed away on Friday due to cancer. Known as being one of the co-founders of Nintendo of America in 1981, he was heavily invested in Nintendo's early efforts to distribute its coin-op games in America, like Radar Scope and Donkey Kong.

He would leave Nintendo in 1994 to join SEGA, where he served as President and CEO of SEGA Enterprises (now Sega Entertainment, the company's arcade division) before leaving for Nanotech Media in 2003.

R.I.P Allen Stone, you bought joy to millions.
