TBH I was pretty upset that they were making yet ANOTHER Transformer movie. So what are your thoughts?
(PS I'm not sure if this is already made if so just tag the mods for me lol)

@kidchipotle: yeah right. No matter what you all say, YOU ALL go see The Transformers movies. They are fun, visual candy, where you turn your brain off for two hours and just enjoy the fantasy, the spectacle. You all just have to get your heads out your asses. Life is too short!!! Shut up and enjoy.
@blackdog2009: No, these movies are straight grarbage. They're not even "turn your brain off fun" like Independance Day or Terminator Genesys. They're the equivalent of BvS and Suicide Squad; bloated messes with minimal plot, okay action and idiotic characterization.
Didn't watch the trailer. I just wanted to say this movie will be complete garbage like part 4 which I was dragged to see. That movie was pure torture and I was thinking of quick ways to end my life right there on the spot.
@transformers1024: yet same people like you are in the movie theaters and contribute these so called garbage movies reach billion.
*Claps*
its a transformers movie
@akshsarpanch: I am? I don't remember seeing Age of Extinction, BvS or SS in theaters.....I remember torrenting them but never paying hard earned money on something so bad.
Idiot.
@transformers1024: lol....no
@nerevarine_11: still salty heh?
@DammeFavour: Way to elaborate.
@transformers1024: well for one, everything u wrote is subjective. AKA ur opinion. Idiot characterization being the most stupid one of them considering these characters have had different incarnations
@DammeFavour: What? So just because Transformers in previous incarnations have had proper characterization (Energon, Animated, Prime) that means the movies gets a free pass for not fleshing out it's Autobot/Decepticon leads and failing to give us an attempt to get to know any of them? That's dumb on your part, not mine.
@transformers1024: dude pay attention. I'm talking about ur comparison to BvS nd others
@DammeFavour: How about you get a dictionary because you're now clearly confusing characterization with an adaptation.
@transformers1024: so, exactly what was wrong with the characterization in those movies since u understand them so much?
@DammeFavour: The titular characters "Transformers" are literally sidelined for 4 entire films so we can get to know the human side of things in Shia Labeouf and Mark Whalbergs characters respectively. They have the same 3 part character arc in every movie 1.) Trying to live ordinary life 2.) Rejecting the notion they're meant to do bigger and better things 3.) Accepting said notion and help save the world. That is it, rinse and repeat for 4 full length movies. In that time we only get to kind of know TWO Transformers in Optimus and Bumblebee who keep in mind have gotten sidelined most every movie. Their teammates are nothing more than "comedic" stereotypes. The black guy (Jazz), old grump (Ratchet), getterdone red neck (Iron Hide) and their legion of worthless allies. We know nothing about these characters aside from what they're attempting to parody. They're whimsical and exclusively shoehorned in the movie to sell toys which is what these movies prioritize over quality story telling and trying to flesh out ANY of its characters. We as an audience have never gotten the chance to see what makes any of the cast tick and what about them wants to even band to together aside from "the world is blowing up for the 5th time in a row."

This. So much this.

While I do agree that the Transformers characters are sidelined, I don't agree with your logical conclusion that because of this sidelined characters it makes the movie bad. You simply mistaken "dislike" for "bad".
Firstly, as @blackdog2009 mentioned, there are movies whose sole purpose is pure action entertainment. The target audience is different from the hardcore Transformers fans.
Secondly, money talks. No one is going to sell a movie to a hardcore fanbase yet lose money. Chances are good that if the Transformers movies are going to focus on characterization the mainstream audience are going to snore throughout the film.
Conclusion, for its intended purpose, the Transformers film series are good and successful (so far).
I haven't seen any of these movies but I can't help but feel that people are too hard on them. I'm going to watch them all just to see for myself.
S'PLOSIONS: The Movie
Godamnit! I was gonna say that!
I gave up on these after 3 (though I should've after 2) but this one just reached a whole new level of "What the hell is happening?" King Arthur? Nazis? What? I'd be pumped for Unicron if these were any good though (besides the first one, I like that one). He was always my favorite as a kid.

They deserve to be reviled as they are.
However, they are enjoyable on a visceral level. I think T1 is decent, and a pretty good adaptation. It is the most "Speilbergerian" of the franchise. It's the "guilt free" Bayformer film you can watch, lol. T2 is entertaining but is a huge step down from T1. T2 is totally a child of Micheal Bay and his laughable writing team (the same hacks who have tried to modernize Star Trek). T1 and T3 are my favorites to watch. I didn't like T4 at all, probably because i've just grown out of this type of film. To me the "Bay series" ended at T3.
Bayformers got me into the cartoon series and mythos, but honestly, I don't get the "you raped my childhood" furor around these movies. The cartoons were just as mindless as the movies themselves, without Bay's obnoxiousness mind you.
Directed by Zack Sny...I mean Michael bay
You could only hope it was directed by Snyder, because transformers would actually be good.

Eww you're saying Independence Day 2 and Gensys are better than BvS or Suicide Squad? I'm embarrassed for you.

i skipped all the ones after the 2nd one and i may or may not have seen pirated ones or something.
and i couldn't watch the last one in one sitting.
I can promise i will never pay to see another one of these.
I am 100% fine with the fight scenes, those parts were fun
Not my thing, but obviously it has an audience, so good for them.
I mean...ahem, OHMAHGAWD, THIS LOOKS SO CRAPPY. WHY DO THEY KEEP MAKING THEM?? THIS IS HORRIBLE, HOLLYWOOD IS HORRIBLE! F MICHAEL BAY, F THIS FRANCHISE, AND F ZACH SNYDER, JUST IN CASE!!!
Directed by Zack Sny...I mean Michael bay
You could only hope it was directed by Snyder, because transformers would actually be good.
Haha Zack Snider already directed a Transformers level movie.
@DammeFavour: salty?

Oh right he must have also directed Age of Ultron and Ironman 2 because same problems
@heatforce: Aww look at you getting triggered. When did anybody mention AOU or IM2 as apart of this?
Trying to deflect to another company when your own insecurities over shitty movies are brought to light?
This is precious.

Umm that's exactly what you did with your Gif above comparing BvS to the transformer films, did you forget already? Sorry, I don't have my nose up the asses of liberal RT critics who will swallow any spunk Mickey squeezes into their mouths.

First of all I mentioned the Zack Snyder/Bay comparision because both of them went to the same film school and use the same techniques. Cheap CGI at the expense of story. Secondly...
Lol. How inappropriate and sexual harassment here? Yeah ok.

*Sigh* re-read your quote above the GIF: Haha Zack Snider already directed a Transformers level movie.
It's clear that you started this by referencing Snyder. Then when I responded (politely might I add) you proceed to accuse me of being triggered
Time line goes like this:
1. You compare Snyder to Bay
2. I said Transformers would have actually been good had Snyder made it
3. You the compare BvS to transformers
4. I state Ironman 2 had AoU had the same problems (politely)
5. You then accuse me of being triggered
6. I than state that I don't stick my nose up the butts of liberal RT critics who take spunk from Mickey
7. You somehow feel like that is sexual harassment towards you and you tattle to a Mod
Are you an RT critic or something because accusing me of sexual harassment is really over reaching.
@heatforce: I don't use RT in my arguments for movies. Again, YOU got insecure and assumed that and posted it out.
Yes, what you did state was sexual harassment. Which is unnecessary. So for what its worth...eh.
@nerevarine_11: Well I'm willing to let bygones be bygones. You're free to compare Snyder to Bay (director to director) and I'm free to compare BvS to Ironman 2/ AoU (film to film). I wasn't trying to offend you, I legitimately think had Snyder directed Transformers it would have been better. Mainly because knowing Snyder he would have started the first film off with the cybertronian war and then perhaps gone to earth in the second film.
Edit: Also in regard to comedy I don't recall Snyder going for the low-hanging fruit in any of his films
@tsciallsolle3451: well said
