I made this list for fun after looking at man VS battles you guys listed, I'm pretty sure I've made some errors and also villains missing, but this is a combination of my favorites as well. Tell me what you think, who would you add, move or remove. My favorites are The Anti-Monitor, Darkseid, Onslaught, Apocalypse, Doomsday, Imperiex & Galactus.
50. Vulture
Adrian Toomes AKA Vulture yearns to stay young and in his quest to drain thelife from his victims, it uts him in allegiance with the Sinister Six and in confrontation with Spider-Man. While not the biggest bad in the Marvel universe, Toomes undoubtedly maintains his sense of villainy throughout his decades long run.

While the ‘Clayface’ moniker has been used by different people throughout the history of Batman lore;
48. Mysterio
While not the A-list of Marvel villains, I’m putting Mysterio on this list due to his role in Old Man Logan. While you would think tricking Logan into murdering the X-Men was more then enough to bump him onto this list; he’s manipulated many Marvel heroes over the years. Even convincing Matt Murdock that he has HIV. Messed up.
47. Lady Deathstrike
While her adaption on film played with the origins, either way you slice it, Lady Deathstrike is deadly and extremely capable of completing her tasks at hand.
46. Omega Red
While with a murky past, there’s no doubt that being a soldier, serial killer, and rapist are all enough to be on this list. If it weren’t for the fact that he’s basically addicted to the Carbonadium Synthesizer, he’d probably be a bit cooler and unstoppable.
45. Killer Croc
Almost all of Batman;s villains cause Batman to rethink the hero’s strategies for fighting villains. Killer Croc like a few others (i.e. Bane) is pure brute strength, heightened by his animalistic sense of smell and predatory nature, he’s often times a major threat for the Dark Knight.
44. Doctor Octopus
Ahh, Doc Ock. He has been one of Spidey’s greatest foes, and was one of the first real villains to install a sense of self-doubt into Peter. Since then he’s gone on to torture Spidey in so many ways, even swapping bodies with the web crawler.
43. Bullseye
A lower-level Marvel villain, Bullseye has had various run-ins with Daredevil; the villain has shown extreme psychopathic tendencies and shows no remorse. Unlike many other villains on this list, Bullseye is just pure psychopath.
42. Sinister
While closly tied to Apocalypse, never forget his role in bringing about massive amounts of death and destruction over centuries. A formidable X-Men villain, he’s had a hand in major events within the X-Men universe.
41. Bane
The man who broke Batman; a strong and formidable foe of Batman, Bane has not only shown immense physical strength, but also a tactile mind.
40. Baron Zemo (II)
What would you do if you discovered your fathers long lost murderer showed up? You’d try to kill him too! That’s exactly what Zemo does, and while he’s been turned into a walking wax figure, and in many isntances fails to kill Captain America, he’s still and admirable foe for Cap.
39. Venom
When Eddie Brock bonded with the symbiote, it was the worst thing to happen to Peter. Not taking into consideration what’s been done to Venom as of late, turning him into a villain that rivaled some of the all-time Spider-Man greats did not take long. He’s arguably Spider-Man’s greatest nightmare.
38. Carnage
Like a few other villains on this list, it’s easy to get on here if all you want to do in this life is straight up murder people. If your sole purpose on this planet (so you think) is to murder, then yes, you are evil, and you are messed up. Carnage is simple this way, all he wants to do is kill, and symbiote or not, he’ll do just that.
37. Tiger Shark
Before gaining his powers, Todd Arliss was a record-breaking Olympic swimmer. After Dr. Dorcas' experimental genetic engineering process, he becomes an amphibious humanoid with the traits of a human, an Atlantean and a tiger shark. As Tiger Shark, he possesses the same superhuman strength, stamina, water speed and durability as Namor, although he must be immersed in water to achieve his full strength. On land, he must wear his special costume containing a water circulation system which bathes him with a thin layer of water, to retain his strength. Tiger Shark also possesses an innate hunting instinct inherited from his shark genes, as once he locks onto prey he cannot stop tracking it until it has been captured or he has been forcibly repulsed. He has the ability to survive indefinitely underwater, and has gills on his cheeks and razor-sharp pointed adamantium teeth.[36]
36. Constrictor
The Constrictor's primary weapon is a pair of cybernetically-controlled, electrified, prehensile, wrist-mounted metal coils provided by Justin Hammer. The previous sets of coils were made from an adamantium alloy then from vibranium. The adamantium coils were stolen from him by Gambit and were subsequently used by Mister Sinister to reinforce Sabretooth's skeleton. The strength of the coils varies based on their construction, but the adamantium coils were powerful enough to lift and even temporarily restrain the Hulk. The vibranium coils have a contact-based aura that suppresses sound: while the coils are wrapped around a target's throat, the victim's voice cannot be heard.
35. Sabretooth
Sabretooth's long-time enemy is the mutant and X-Men member Wolverine, with conflicting accounts as to the origin of their feud. It is known that Wolverine and Sabretooth were victims of the Cold Warsupersoldier program Weapon X, and that Sabretooth saw Wolverine as competition and therefore antagonized him. While Wolverine is depicted as suppressing his more savage qualities, Sabretooth does the opposite and embraces them.
34. The Blob
Fred Dukes, alias the "Blob" is a mutant whose latent superhuman powers manifested themselves when he reached puberty. ... Thinking of himself as no more than, in his own words, "an extra-strong freak," the Blob used his superhuman mutant powers as a performer in a carnival.
33. The Rhino
Aleksei Sytsevich was a thug who worked for Eastern Bloc scientists. The scientists subjected him to a process which gave him an artificial skin covering which granted him superhuman strength.
32. Mephisto
Mephisto has had his hand in plenty of devastating stories throughout the Marvel Earth-616 continuity, from Vision’s and Scarlet Witch’s children being offshoots of Mephisto, to eroding at Mary Jane’s and Peter’s relationship. He’s maybe not the most powerful villain, but he certainly is one of the more manipulative ones.
31. Red Skull
Cap’s arch-nemesis, Red Skull’s evil influence has transcended time, with Red Skull being a part of many plots against Captain America and/or the free world. We won’t get into the whole creepiness of his Ultimates storyline either. It’s also notable that Skull also managed to have Cap assassinated, something few villains could ever do.
30. Dormammu
Dormammu may be a villain of simple intentions, but he does all of this with far less at his disposal then say Dr. Doom o other Marvel villains. He simply wields power, and a fair amount of it at that. Can you blame him for wanting to conquer our universe? It is pretty awesome.
29. Metallo
Being a robot is badass, agreed? Being a badass with a kryptonite core is even more badass. Metallo’s presence is enough to bring the Man of Steel to his knees, and that has to count for something.
28. Annihilus
You have to feel sorry for Annihilus, he’s the last of the species and thinks everyone is out for him; so what does the super smart bug do? Pick fights with almost anyone he considers a threat. He probably thinks you’re a threat, watch out.
27. Absorbing Man
Courtesy of a magical potion, Crusher Creel has the ability to duplicate the properties of anything he touches—gas, liquid, solid, or even energy sources. This transformation also extends to the clothing and ball and chain that Creel was wearing when the potion took effect (for example, if Creel touches the metal titanium, his body, clothing, and ball and chain take on the appearance and properties of titanium). If the object is large (e.g., a building), Creel can absorb sufficient mass to attain the same height.
26. The Hulk-Hunters
The Hulk-Hunters were a group created to track down the Hulk. Amphibion (Qnax, from planet Xanterean), Torgo (king robot from Mekka) and Dark-Crawler (sole survivor from the dark dimension). Sent by Daydra, empress from the Sagittarius System, they intend to convince the Hulk into saving the universe from the Galaxy Master and his powerful green skinned foe...The Abomination.
25. MODOK
‘The Mental Mobile Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing’ With a name like that, what’s not to love? Being essentially a sentient computer, MODOK’s mental abilities far exceed that of most humans. While he’s easy to mock, his mental capabilities are far from a joke.
24. Kang The Conqueror
What do you do when you amass centuries worth of technology and power; you conquer even more timelines to further your reign of power. Kang even successfully conquered Earth, something many other villains dream of. You have to respect what Kang is trying to do.
23. Magneto
What makes Magneto such a great villain is that he really is not a villain as much as he is a man who is out to right the wrongs of his past and fix the discrimination that he’s felt his whole life. While it’s easy to look at him as a simple terrorist, his motives and backstory paint a bigger picture for the villain and show that he truly isn’t as evil as he is just trying to fix a problem he sees.
22. Doctor Doom
Victor Von Doom is not an extremely powerful villain from his power set, nor is he a sympathetic villain really. He wants power, and has sought power for decades. He even betrayed mankind to get his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet (unsuccessfully mind you). He is infactuated with being the best, and this compels him to be the greatest villains in the Marvel universe.
21. Destroyer
The Destroyer is an enchanted suit of armor forged by Odin, and when it first appeared it was hinted that the Destroyer had been created as a weapon to face some dark menace from the stars. It is first seen residing in the Temple of Darkness in Asia. The Destroyer is used by Thor's arch-foe Loki on several occasions, and each time has actually come close to killing Thor. At one stage Thor offers the armor to the World Devourer Galactus, in exchange for the release of Galactus's current Herald, Firelord. Galactus accepts, and the Destroyer acts as his Herald, detecting Counter-Earth for him and going on to battle the Fantastic Four until finally recaptured for reuse by Loki.
20. Sentinals
These robots generally just want to destroy mutant-kind but they have been known to want to destroy humans as well. Damn computer glitches! Regardless of who their target is, the Sentinals have been and always will be a formidable threat for the X-Men.
19. Juggernaught
An unstoppable beheamoth of a villain, fuelled by his jealousy for his half-brother, Charles Xavier; the Juggernaught showcases a desire to not only kill Xavier, but destroy Xavier’s dream of Human-Mutant coexistence.
18. Bizarro
Bizarro is depicted as having all the abilities of Superman, although in some incarnations several of these traits have been reversed.
17. Sinestro
The arch-nemesis of the Green Lantern Corps. What makes Sinestro such a great villain is that he used to be one of the Green Lanterns before turning his back on them and their leaders.
16. Loki
Half-brother to Thor; Loki has since decided to conquer both Asgard and Midgard on more then a few occasions and normally tried to bring in accomplices to assist in conquering Asgard such as Surtur as well as the Enchantress. While Loki is not a direct villain, his manipulating skills bring him to a level of villain that makes him very menacing.
15. The Leader
One of The Hulk’s most worthy adversaries, The Leader is more of the mastermind type then one to bring on direct confrontation. That said, he’s allied himself with other Hulk villains many times to bring on the Jade Giant and while usually to no avail, he’s still a worthy adversary.
14. Ultron
Hank Pym is notable for two things I) Hitting his wife, and II) Creating Ultron. This sentient robot rebelled against his creator; and since gaining sentience and independence, Ultron has become a cruel and resourceful villain. What makes for a great villain in general is a lack of sympathy of compassion, and Ultron is just that.
13. Brainiac
One of superman’s greatest foes, Brainiac is obsessed with shrinking and collecting civilizations for his collection. He catalogs civilizations and destroys what else remains. Depending on the version you read, Brainiac is also responsible for the destruction of Krypton.
12. Maestro
The Maestro largely possesses the same powers as the Hulk, but to a greater degree than most incarnations due to the century's worth of radiation he has absorbed as a result of the nuclear wars that decimated his Earth (the present Hulk speculated that his insanity might also contribute to his greater strength).
11. Abomination
While similar to The Hulk in many regards, The Abomination has fought the jade giant many times throughout the decades and has shown himself to be a worthy foe.
10. Mongul
The first ruler of Warworld, Mongul was a tactful and vicious leader. A longtime adversary of Superman, he has also fought other Justice League members. He possesses powers similar to Darkseid, and – even if he’s not quite as powerful – is still a lot to handle.
9. Doomsday
His constant prodding to kill living things has prompted a deep-seeded hatred of all living things and that now guides Doomsday’s rampage across the galaxy. He also killed Superman, does he need any other reason to be on this list?
8. Apocalypse
The first mutant, he really takes Magneto’s ‘ro-mutants’ angle and runs with it. Believing in Darwin’s Survival of the Fittest, Apocalypse has since become a major villain for the X-Men and has since appeared in many iconic X-Men stories.
7. Onslaught
The combining of Magneto and Xavier formed this threat to the X-Men. Onslaught managed to show the dark side of the ‘True Xavier’ who buried his darker thoughts, including his love for Jean Grey, deep within his psyche. When the darkest parts of Magneto merged with Xavier, you got Onslaught. A powerful being of psionic energy, this being has become one of the most powerful Marvel villains.
6. Thanos
Thanos is a mutant member of the race of superhumans known as the Titanian Eternals. The character possesses abilities common to the Eternals, but amplified to a higher degree through a combination of his mutant Eternal heritage, bionic amplification, mysticism, and power bestowed by the abstract entity, Death. Demonstrating enormous superhuman strength, stamina, and durability, Thanos can absorb and project vast quantities of cosmic energy and is capable of telekinesis, telepathy and matter manipulation. Thanos is an accomplished hand-to-hand combatant, having been trained in the art of war on Titan.
Thanos is a genius in virtually all known fields of advanced science and has created technology far exceeding contemporary Earth science. He often employs a transportation chair capable of space flight, force field projection,teleportation, time travel and movement through alternate universes. Thanos is also a master strategist and uses several space vessels, at least 3 under the name of Sanctuary, as a base of operations.
6. Darkseid
One of the most renowned villains in the entire DC Multiverse, Darkseid is the ruler of the planet Apokolips. Darkseid is known for his strength, intellect, leadership, and his crusade for the Anti-Life Equation. Darkseid is obsessed with not just ruling the universe but recreating it in his likeness. He is not just an enemy of the Justice League, but of the other New Gods who live on New Genesis. Being a New God himself, he possesses some of the most powerful abilities in all of the Multiverse.
Darkseid has basically every super-power that exists in the DC Universe. Paired with his obsession for ruling, this makes him an adversary that the entire multiverse should be scared of. Not only is he ridiculously strong, but he commands an entire planet full of parademons ready to die for his cause. As if that wasn’t enough, he also has children and accomplices called The Darkseid Elite. Each member is powerful in their own right, and together they all serve Darkseid.
5. Mandrakk
Having been corrupted and transformed into a Dark Monitor, Mandrakk was able to feed directly on the Bleed, drawing energy from it which he used to fly and shoot energy from his hands and eyes. Mandrakk is also described as the ultimate threat to the Multiverse, capable of shattering entire universes with relative ease.
5. Imperiex-Prime
A being that withholds the power of the Big Bang sounds pretty powerful. Well, that’s exactly the kind of power Imperiex-Prime contains. Imperiex is so deadly that he is said to not just instill fear in beings like Mongul, but is also able to take out others like Doomsday with a single hit of his energy blast. His whole directive is to span the universe, killing everything in his path so that he may restart the universe with the power within him.
As said before, Imperiex-Prime is intensely terrifying. When he reaches Earth, Mongul forms an alliance with Superman and all the other heroes and villains of the DC Universe to stop him. Incredibly, they are unable to defeat by any other method than returning him in time to the Big Bang, which kills him.
4. Krona
Krona is a Maltusian, a race of immortals who become the Guardians of the Universe, and Krona’s role among them was to oversee the imprisonment of the emotional entities. He is also responsible for creating the first prototype of the Green Lantern ring, due to his interest in controlling emotion. Krona became obsessed with understanding how the universe began and began tinkering with the underlying structure, inadvertently creating not only evil itself, the antimatter universe, but also the multiverse.
After the other Maltusians reduce him to nothing but dust, he roams the the multiverse looking for a chance to reform himself. Once he does this, he becomes obsessed with capturing all the emotional entities. Being a Maltusian, Krona is invulnerable and immortal. He has divine knowledge that surpasses the other Maltusians. His understanding of the emotional spectrum makes him capable of taking on all different colors of the Lanterns. Powerful, indeed.
3. Exitar
Exitar controls cosmic energy with an unknown upper limit and is nearly invulnerable. It is an extremely powerful Celestial able to destroy planets fast and with ease. Exitar is able to effortlessly overpower the majority of Earth's superhumans as if they were insects.
2. The Anti-Monitor
The Anti-Monitor was the cause of the original “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” He has caused more death and destruction than any other villain in the multiverse and has absorbed countless universes. When he tore a hole from the antimatter universe into the positive-matter universe, he jeopardized reality itself. Of course The Anti-Monitor has all of the standard abilities that you’d expect from a villain as powerful, but he works on a scale larger than most others.
1. Galactus
Galactus was created during the union of the Sentience of the previous Universe and Galan of Taa, and a herald described him as "the physical, metamorphosed embodiment of a cosmos." Galactus considers himself a higher being than all non-abstracts, maintaining his existence by devouring planets with the potential to support life. This has resulted in the elimination of entire extraterrestrial civilizations on a number of worlds.
Galactus wields a type of cosmic energy known as the Power Cosmic and has appointed a number of beings as his heralds, giving each a portion of the Power Cosmic. This Power Cosmic replaces the auras (or souls) of its holders, causing each wielder's physical form to adapt to store and manipulate it. Galactus can remove the Power Cosmic from the person to whom he has given it. He can use the Power Cosmic to produce nearly any effect he desires, including size alteration, the transmutation of matter, the teleportation of objects across space, the creation of force fields and interdimensional portals, telepathy, telekinesis, universal cosmic awareness, the creation of life, resurrection, manipulating souls, memories and emotions,recreating dead worlds in every detail (including utterly convincing illusions of their entire populations), and energy projection.
