For me it would have to be the incredibly cynical reader who can come off as kinda douchey.
Most annoying type of Comic Book Fan!
So.....90% of them thenFor me it would have to be the incredibly cynical reader who can come off as kinda douchey.
LOL...I love that guy...@cattlebattle: Yes, including Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons.
anyone who is part of a cult following is very cynical and picks it apart usually, because they are so use to it, they feel so involved that their opinion is is valid and absolute. I will even admit that as I have been a huge X-Men fan for over a decade, I am very cynical about the newer stories and characters
At the Comic Store
1- Most Comicbook store workers who are not the owner.
2- The Comic fan who's oblivious to everybody else in the store.
3- The comicbook store owner who's something of a comicfan and a reclusive A-hole.
4- The comicbook store owner who turned his shop into something that came from an episode of Hoarders
5- Any guy who's willing to sell a sideshow statue at it's highest and most ridiculous price and try his hardest to rip you off by busting your balls when trading in a product.
Online
1- Comic fans who asks the most stupidest questions
2- Angry Video Game Nerd inspired Comic fans
3- Trolls
4- Comic fans who uses big words or make alot of effort into making themselves look intelligent.
5- Comic fans who are easily Butt-hurt for the stupidest reasons, like their favorite character got killed off or something.
6- Die hard Superboy Prime fans
7- Comicfans who would spend a single day to argue about something completely stupid.
8- Comicfans who enjoy bragging about seeing an upcoming film.
Comic Con
1- That guy who acts like I just murdered his whole family or something.
2- That guy who keeps looking at my artwork to see if his is better.
3- That guy who showed up at a one-time event with the intent to make it the most miserable day of his life.

Both of these top my list. Butthurt fanatics, immature ad hominem arguers, those whouse their knowledge of one character to try to trumph any other arguement.
@Nox_Arc: E-freakin-xactly. Most Marvel vs DC battles are won by which ever set of fanboys argue the angriest

@KnightRise: Unfortunately, the battle forums are plagued with such fanboys.
I'm a Batman fan myself but I will admit he can be beaten, but yeah some of the Batman fanboys are the worst.....the worst just look at the battle forums.
Green Arrow is a rippoff of Hawkeye because I seen Avengers last week.... Those are the bastards I hate

Irritatingly so.
It's definately the ones that are over informative, who come of as rude when someone makes a mistake about characters , or events in comics, instead of being polite about the mistake. Yeah, people hit wiki pages, but they should never be persecuted for it, due to the fact that it's a legit source of info for the most part.
Fanboys in the battle forums in CV yeah. this doesn't seem to be as big a problem in other sites though.
@Nox_Arc: "all you {Marvel/DC} fanboys think...stomps...solos...typical {Batman/WW Hulk} fanboy thinking..." blah blah blah
People who take comics too seriously, talk constantly about certain characters, pick apart everything else and consider themselves eccentric. Yes, I'm talking about YOU.

Same here I hate all of them and let me add the storm fans and the Thor fans too.
the ones that have 5o over discuss the issues and the characters while trying to seem they know all about comics
I.E.
Jerry:Jason Todd would eventually turned on Batman.
Terry:You know don't that for sure.
Jerry:Yesss I do he was to cocky (he say spitting all over the comics)
Terry:They shouldn't have killed he could've better then Dick Grayson
Jerry:How dare you everyone knows Dick Grayson is the best character after batman and who doesn't say that is an Idiot!!
Terry:Know Jason is better than both he would've gotten the cowl if the writers knew how to write."
Jerry: "That's so stupid they should've left him for dead in issue 427,or brought him back as black lantern.
Terry hits Jerry and walks out the door
Its Thunderdome. Common Sense and Character Enjoyment enter, Disbelief and Disappointment leave.Fanboys in the battle forums in CV yeah. this doesn't seem to be as big a problem in other sites though.

In my opinion, I think that people who hate on others who decide they are a fan of something after they see the movies are just being elitist a~holes.
However the ones who have seen the movies only and act like they know everything about the character based on the movie alone are annoying.

This. If you take intrest in a character or comic book because you saw a movie and branched out into comics then good on you.
If you watched Batman and now claim he is the greatest thing since thin mints and don't own a single damn comic then shut yo mouth cause I could bury you alive in mine.
I also dislike some of the Storm fans "one in particular we all know who he is >_>" though I am a member of said fan base. Batman fans that create threads just to ramble about how great he is, any Thor fan who either claims he can beat Superman or post threads about him on the general discussion board "he has a forum use it", the people who decieded to call Hawkeye a rip off of Green Arrow just because he had gotten some recognition, and the many people who love to make threads and comment negatively on She-Hulks love life.
fans that have only read a character few a short time that believe they the character's entire history.

So why are Storm fans still being mentioned?
Partly because you're not the only Storm fan but also because its not just the Battles forums that you guys post on. I have never seen you post something that isn't related to Storm.
Anyway, the guys that irritate me the most are the ones that pretend they are comic book fans just because they have seen the films and watched the Big Bang Theory. Then they claim to have better knowledge about comic book characters and their abilities, grrr...

on the first 3 pages of the Storm forum there are over 32 topics made about Storm by you.

I only created 2 threads in Storm forum for June.
Like what others have stated, the Storm fans are more vocal so the Storm threads usually get bumped a lot.
and besides, I'm fine with other posters also creating a lot of threads for their fave characters. I wasn't annoyed on a lot of take a point add a point threads at all. If it's what they want to do and enjoy doing, then why would I be annoyed? I always have the option to just ignore it, instead of posting negative to it.
