MCU vs Arrowverse: Cooler Costumes
True enough, though CW does a hell of a good job with the budget they have. All the people who shoot bows on Arrow look REALLY cool. Thea especially. Flash looks highly cool too.
MCU by far. Even Agents of Shield( particularly in the case of the womens outfits) has better costumes. Now if this were DC(Cinematic Universe) compared to MCU id say its about even.
@heroup2112: Yeah, CW mostly sticks with leather, which is fine for the budget. And Thea looks fine in that costume, I agree, lol.
@the_stegman: lol Yeah, the odd thing is I don't find Thea particularly attractive...except in her Speedy outfit.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is on a movie-level budget, of course they're going to have cooler costumes.
I do enjoy the Arrowverse and all, but it'd be pretty unfair to match it up against anything on the big screen like a Marvel movie.
Unfair comparison. Movie budget >>>>tv budget.
Yes of all live-action superhero production companies (CW, Fox, Sony, WB) Marvel Studios definitely has the best looks. This is mostly due to the fact that they were the first ones brave enough to just rip the looks right out of the comic instead of changing it up to look modern or more realistic. With ASM2 and Deadpool though, and even Green Arrow's new costume in season 4 and the Future Flash we saw glimpses of, it seems like the other studios are starting to catch on.
Not a fair comparison for a couple of reasons. One, movie budget vs tv budget. Two, the MCU embraced the superhero costumes from the start. It took until the second half of season two for Oliver to get a goddamn mask.
Of course the MCU has better costumes. One can argue the Arrowverse gets more bang for the buck, but for just straight up better costumes, the MCU is better.

Winter Soldier's "armour" vest looked pretty leathery to me as well:
True...I wonder if it's supposed to be some sort of Kevlar weave or something? I suspect they just made it that way to look cool...I don't know if it's meant to have any armor value film wise.
I will say this though. Oliver's new "Green Arrow" outfit...the one where he commented that "the Kevlar held" actually looks like it COULD be made of ballistic nylon (semi kevlar) weave...even the hood. I know it's NOT, but they at least got the look semi-right.

His new vest looks MUCH better:
Unfair comparison. Movie budget >>>>tv budget.
I agree, now THAT looks more like a tactical vest.
But then it came out looking like this
LMFAAAAAAAAAO!!!
Not only is this unfair due to film budget vs TV budget but the CWverse has the worse costumes I've ever seen.
STAR GIRL FTW!!!
Not much new to say. The MCU is mainly a movie universe giving it a much higher budget. I mean CW made even some of the bolder costume adaptations like the Hawks work to a degree, but they can't compete with the budget and time put into the movie costumes.
Yeah, true, but is that even the same vest from the previous image? Just wondering.
Yes but it turned out baggier

Ah, yeah the baggier version looks kind of CW style honestly.
CW has a few good ones but there are more misses than hits. CW vs Foxverse would be a fairer comparison.
