I am one of the world’s greatest heroes, but I have been hurt like never before, and it has made me unable to continiue my battle for good.

The one who made me fall was a horrific dark reflection of my very nature with a name that promised destruction.

Eventually, someone stepped up to take my mantle.

But his violent nature perverted my name and legacy.

But through miracules means, I returned. I defeated the pretender and took back my name as well as my status as my city's potector.

Well Doomsday isn't really a Dark reflection of Superman but yeah the main difference is that Knightfall was actually good.

@black_arrow: That's what the writers in the 90s wanted him to be.

They are the only surviving kryptonians, they were both sent to space and they are both creatures of incredible power.

I meant Elijah Wood, Mandi Moore, and Ron Howard (there was one other I can't remember) being his famous friends that were in the video. Welcome for the compliment, and seriously, your satire kicked his' ass (this is HeroUp2112 btw).

Why do people shit on Death of Superman so much on here? Yeah, it's not my personal favorite story, but it wasn't horrificly bad.

Outside of the whole superman dies thing, DOS does not really hold up to well, neither does knight fall but DOS is so grossly overrated in terms of actual story it's hard not to make fun of it.

Because with a premise like that, it could have been amazing but it ended up being a boring slugfest.

I didn't think it was boring, besides Funeral For a Friend/World Without Superman, it was pretty fast-paced. It could've been better, but I wouldn't say it was terrible.

I agree that DoS was pretty overrated. It just wasn't all that good, but I don't think it was bad either. I liked Knightfall quite a lot though.

Pace and excitement aren't mutually connected.

The idea behind it, the boring monster, the death by beating each other up is lame. For something with that much freedom they found the most boring way to execute it. And its not like the DoS hasn't happened before, the Pre-Crisis Superman alone had at least 3 better death stories.

still a better fight than the live action adaption... ;)
