Jean Grey Has a Choice in Civil War II Promo Image

Civil War II is Marvel's next big event. It seems like that many of Marvel's heroes and villains are going to have to make some major decisions. There have already been a few promo images, including this one of Thor, and today, Marvel revealed this one of Jean Grey.

Here's what Marvel had to say about the image.

The Jean Grey in the current Marvel Universe is actually the Jean Grey from the past. We're guessing her decision has to deal with either going back to her own timeline or staying to protect it. At some point, she's going to have to go back to her own timeline, right?

Seriously though everyone relax. Civil War based in ANAD marvel sounds interesting. Especially now that it's about something like literally saving lives before it's necessary. Kinda reminds me of Apple v FBI that recently happened. People were saying sure you support Apple until it's your family needing Justice. People with sense were saying the fbi will take it too far.

Her facial expression looks like she is in line at a McDonalds struggling between a cheeseburger and a salad. That is not the face of someone with a real choice in front of them.

I hate to admit this but I start to find too much crossover and events annoying.

The thing is, seems like DC and Marvel had to use these events to promote some sales. I start to think this might be a bad competition.

Rumor has it this time around it's about who's side beet the Vandel buster should be on.

Well people seems like there will be a X-men vs Inhumans.........Of Course this as I said before this is Inevitable.

I hope the Phoenix force doesn't get used as a plot device. Kind of tired of that.

I'm skeptical the O5 even have a home to go back to due to secret wars.

@stormphoenix: Yeah... which seems really ill-adviced on the mutants part considering their problem with numbers. But hey, maybe now we will get to learn why Scott is dead?

Note: I am only assuming it's going to be the mutants attacking the Inhumans due to how little the Inhumans seem to care about mutants in general and how easy it seems to be to rile up the mutants against anyone and anything thats a possible threat to them.
(Though, if anything, their problem and fight should be with Black Bolt and/or Maximus for detonating that bomb of theirs.)

I belive that was sorted out during Bendis' run on the X-Men; the O5 can't go back and continue as if nothing happened, and (again) Hank got stick for doing it anyways while knowing it and himself almost being too dead to do anything about it. Agreed on the PF thing with Jean is tiresome... and wasn't Trial of Jean Grey all about how this one wasn't connected to the PF?

I'm sure Marvel is going to find some way to make the Mutants like jerks and make them attack New Attila. And your right that would be ill advised because there is ONLY a handful of them. Most of them are kids. This will end in characters being BADLY portrayed. Just like AVX. But will see because I HIGHLY doubt Storm would just willingly decide to attack the Inhumans given the numbers, BUT Magneto WILL. As for Scott we might find out what happen what would be crazy if the Inhumans had his remains and like I don't know disrespect him or the X-men and it PISSES off Storm and the rest of the team. LOL.

@stormphoenix: one of the problems with the mutants is that they seem to suffer from a kind of hive-mind mentality these days. Normally you get one or 2 leaders that everyone else follows seemingly without question. You are right Magneto is the most likely to attack New Attilan, but I wont discount Storm these days because she appears to be hallucinating Xavier from time to time... and who knows where that goes, not to mention she might throw in her lot with Magneto simply because he's a mutant.

Yea I can agree to that. They all do for some reason like to jump on the Ban Wagon all the time. As for Magneto NO DOUBT he will bring up the idea to attack the Inhumans. Although knowing Storm's character she will be against it due to trying to keep the peace as she said before "We protect not just Mutants, but Humans and Inhumans alike". I wouldn't say she is having hallucinations of Xavier they are more like her thoughts on trying to figure out and paint a picture on what HE would do. Though for some reason marvel has been written her WRONG. I'm SURE they will make her into a jerk when she isn't.

NOW as for the Inhumans Medusa does not give a flying SH*& for mutants. Yes she let's a few of them into New Attilan, but even then really don't care. I DON"T know Medusa's character, but to me she's a Jerk and too prideful. Something i'm sure Marvel likes these days. But yeah the Inhumans don't care about mutants AND they are not even trying to clear the mist from the atmosphere. In Uncanny Avengers I believe 6 or 7 Medusa calls it "Unfortunate". *sigh* JERK.

This will ALL go down hill if Marvel writes these characters badly, which they will.
