@mo_ali: By his creator Heinberg he was depicted as a superhero fanboy of superheroes that are real in his world(aka marvel earth), but depcited in a comicbook fan way, like counting down heroes who fought the Growing Man or Doctort Doom or freaking out over meeting Jessica Jones. In Young Avengers presents he makes a pop culture reference to project runway. In Childrens crusade he bases the groups disguises on the costumes from a sound of music. In a one-shot tie-in to Siege he mentions being a fan of North mythology, while recognizing several dead Asgardians from the stories. In the 2013 young avengers there is generally such a silly amount of pop-culture references I would bet he does a ton. I don't remember if there was something in New Avengers that was around the time I cut my losses with the character given the ongping mischaracterization, but I think Death's head had him geeking out over changing in a bathroom like superheroes do in comics(which means he wasted several seconds or even minutes doing so rather than magically summoning his costume like he does at several other points, while a robot was shooting at a concert audience).
