Is Vin Diesel in the Inhumans Movie?

Vin Diesel previously teased the possibility that he could be cast as Vision. We know that didn't pan out (Paul Bettany is Vision), but he did land a Marvel Studios role: Groot. Now, he's teasing yet another possibility! His latest Facebook cover photo hints that he could have landed a role in an upcoming Phase 3 movie, Inhumans.

When he teased the possibility of becoming Vision, it all started because fans thought he'd be a good fit for the role. But now that he's with Marvel Studios and only providing the voice of a CG character, could they use him for a totally different role? Maybe one where he's on camera but his dialogue is limited? You know, Black Bolt! According to a report back in 2013 by Film School Rejects, the actor said his initial meeting with Marvel was for a Phase 3 role. So, do you think there's any truth behind this teaser and would you want to see him as any of the Inhumans? Or perhaps the second role didn't work out and the Guardians of the Galaxy will have a cameo in the movie, and he's just building the hype for what's to come? All we have to work with is the above image and old reports (it's uncertain whether those talks actually lead to anything aside from Groot), but what do you think is going on? It's pretty easy to picture him in Black Bolt's costume though, isn't it? Inhumans is scheduled to open November 2, 2018.

I've thought he'd play Black Bolt for a while.

Well he has said recently that he wants to test himself as an actor by taking challenging roles and playing Black Bolt would be very challenging since you have to portray everything with expressions.

If this is true he'll probably ended being Gorgon lol.

at this point in time, I no longer get excited about casting for marvel films, it doesn't matter who they hire to play these characters if they are gonna churn out another forgettable movie with a macguffin plot, cardboard cut-out characters and awful jokes. Marvel need to make less GoG/Ironman2/3 style films, More Winter Soldier's style, I'd rather have a well developed character over a cheap joke

I have to say this Marvel Vin relationship is like the coolest and funniest thing ever. It's like the Rock and DC. Vin basically said he wanted to voice Groot cause he could and he got the part. Plus he's been teasing he;ll be in the Inhumans movie even before it was officially announced.

Lol this guy can only play wooden or non speaking roles, seriously get someone better, Blackbolt should be played by someone who is capable of expressing more than one emotion.

Von Diesel is a horrible actor. He should be born in the 60's and star Along with Shwarzenneger and Stallone in the 80's action-lame-ass-movies. If they want to have someone favour to play Black Bolt, they should at least choose someone who CAN act.

I have great respect for Black Bolt as a character - and zero respect for Vin Diesel as an actor.

Although i'd like them to make a good Inhumans movie, as i'm a big Inhumans fan. SO I DON'T WANT VIN DIESEL TO PLAY FREAKING BLACK BOLT

I know a lot of people are excited about the possibility of Vin Diesel playing Black Bolt but I am not too keen on the idea. I trust Marvel to cast their movies well at this point so if they pick him then I'll be open minded but he wouldn't even be on a list of potential actors for me.

How are the two actors or two characters comparable? Plus the Black Adam announcement was months ago.

It would be pretty cool if he's in the movie.

There are very few things that will make me not see the Inhumans movie, vin diesel as black bolt is one of them.

Vin Diesel as Blackbolt is a waste of his talent plus Blackbolt doesn't speak because if he did, then he would unleash a sonic boom. If Vin Diesel was going to be casted as an Inhuman then it should either be Gorgon or Triton.

It's actually not easy to picture Black Bolt's costume in a movie at all.

I really don't mind who plays the character. I just don't want them to water him down. I swear if black bolt talks in the film, I'll go mental. Hopefully they won't ruin it.

We've seen Thanos, Loki, Thor, Rocket, Yondu and now Vision and Ant-Man adapted for the MCU. How's it not easy to envision what they could do with Black Bolt's costume? I honestly don't think it's that elaborate or too far out-there compared to some of the characters we've seen.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'll happily eat my words if the costume design is a mess or drastically different than the comic design!

I am interested to see what they do with the Inhumans and Vin Diesel is an ideal candidate to plan Black Bold. Though to tell the truth with the Inhumans I am really interested to see what they will do with Medusa's hair, just because how difficult hair is to pull off with visual effects.

Vin got the job of voicing Groot because of his work on Iron Giant.

Don't really see Vin Diesel as Blackbolt. I always think he’s stealing a car due to his association with Fast and the Furious. lol. I may be the lone wolf here, but I'd prefer a new actor for Black Bolt.

Perfect role for him. The less he speaks, the better.

@drellassassin: those 2 actors have been pretty close since they shot Fast 5 together. I wasnt really trying to compare Black Adam and Black Bolt, not that you mention you could draw some comparisons between the 2 lol.

I think having him play Black Bolt would be smart simply because it'll eliminate basically any crossover between his two MCU performances. He only does the voice for one character and the other character he plays doesn't talk, so you don't have to worry about his other Marvel character sounding like Groot for some reason, especially given how distinctive the guy's voice is.

How are people complaining about Vin Diesel as Black Bolt, but the're 100% sold with The Rock as Black Adam?
