I was reading Justice League of America #1,000,000 earlier and I came across this.
Remembering the most notable instance of bad math, I decided to crunch the numbers to see if this case was similar.
Superman One Million leaps from the Earth to the JLA Watchtower on the Moon. Plastic Man says something [SOM] is traveling at one ten thousandth of the speed of light, and that it will be arriving in minutes. As the narrator states "Moments later", Superman One Million arrives on the Moon.
Speed of light = 299,792 km/s.
299,792 km/s / 10,000 = 29.9792 km/s.
Distance from Earth to Moon = 384,400 km.
Time = distance / speed.
384,400 km / 30 km/s = 12813.33 s.
12813.33 s = 3.55 h.
I suppose this means the jump should have taken him three and a half hours?
