Is there a fanbase worse than comic book fans?

Now I've seen quite a lot annoying fan bases; Wrestling fans, Rap fans & One piece fans but never have I seen a worse fanbase than comic book fans.

- Death threats over casting.

- Death threats over bad reviews.

- Insulting actors and their families over casting.

- Overreactions over minor changes.

- Extreme Overreactions over rumours.

- Lack of understanding that business need to make money and it's more important to them to gain profit over statisfying the core fans. Hence She-Thor etc.

Literally every type of fanboy does with the op listed. Gamers, Otakus, trekkies, techies, etc. I blame the internet for letting people act like douchebags without the fear of being punched in the face.

@the_stegman: I haven't seen death threats over casting on any sites but comic book forums. They had to change TDKR reviews due to death threats what other fan-base have gone to that level.

Comic fans as a hole arn't that bad it's the sub groups. Excluding sports and keeping to nerd stuff the worst community is gamers as a gamer and game designer i accept this.

I've always found adult male mlp fans and furries very cringy.

And she Thor was stupid in it's execution. Like every pandering story marvel does. Why would Jane refuse the cure for cancer? Why hide her identity from Thor? How did she get to the moon? Why would she use the hammer that cures her cancer when she's clearly so above that? Why is it written like a tumblr blog? A Sif ongoing would have been way better. I still hope for one.

The radical wrestling and/or sports fans are the most violent and disrespectful fan base in history. Not only to each other but to the stars that they just so happen to not like. Death threats? Please, some athletes have been spit on, physically assulted, attacked mid game/performance, and have had projectiles thrown at them(the most extreme case to my memory being a large metal briefcase to the head). They are no keyboard warriors, they fan and will take action. Online, any conversation with the radicals as I like to call them can and will lead to an instant flame war. To me the competition isn't even close and it shames me because I'm a fan of both.

The worst fan base in my opinion is the FNAF fan base, especially 10 year olds who think FNAF 3 is the best one. You can't reason with them at all because they have their heads in the toilet.

You know what, put hardcore in front of anything and you get fanboys. Fanboys irrational, overly emotional, and ruin whatever they discuss or like for the rest of the fanbase.

In my experience, 'true' Metal fans are some of the worst. The 'true' metal fans tend to have a very narrow, closed minded view of what 'real' metal is and bash the rest as 'mainstream poser garbage' or something akin to that.

But really, all over the top fanboys are equal...and they are all sh*tty.

Ignoring the more extreme things I'd say comic fans tend to be the most fickle always overreacting and complaining over the slightest thing even if they have no idea how it'll be in a story or the context of anything. They want change but hate any change they're given they want new characters but complain when they get them.

Not all comic fans mind you this mostly pertains to the big two I'd say most Indie comics get away with doing whatever they want because they are usually the creatures of the IP so you can't really complain when the creator is flatout progressing the story.

One of the worst bunch of hypocrites. They keep on ranting about how much diverse "true" metal is compared to mainstream music or how visionary their "pioneers" are, but refuse to accept anything that goes against their 3 or 4 rules. Also the whole "deep & meaningful (ie grimderp) lyrics" thing they harp about being superior to "lovey dovey" mainstream lyrics.

DBZ fans spout nonsense and use fan speculations and myth instead of facts. I'm a proud Naruto fan but i'm not heavily in denial bout the faults in the manga and characters.

Football had had thrown flares at goal keepers and have also murdered a player from their country because he lost a match. So football fans are much worse. Some wrestlers have actually been stabbed by the fans which is worse than a briefcase to the head btw.

Known for insulting victims of domestic abuse and telling them its their own fault for not loving their men enough. Why? Well, they had the audacity of criticizing a badly written book for glorifying an mentally and physically abusive relationship.

I mean Christ Almighty it's like this guy(the OP) has never seen a sports show or documentary. Like people have committed crimes over sports. People come to your house personally and threaten sports stars and their families. Not over the internet, I mean to their faces.

The equivalent would be if a Superman fan got beaten by a marvel fanboy and Disney/Marvel were successful sued for damages. Nothing of this magnitude ever happens to comicbook fans.

Sports fans are mostly grown men(often semi antithetic ones), and they play for keeps. I love sports, but jesus Sport Fan is the worst. Sports fans threaten College & Highschool kids.

@guru_crack: I was generalizing all sports: football, basketball, baseball, soccer etc. I listed wrestling separately because the vast majority agree that it is not a sport but sports entertainment. Also, I am well aware of the more violent occurrences but to save time I picked the most recent thing to memory which just so happened to be a briefcase to the head mid match nearly knocking said wrestler out. I didn't want to list an example for the actual sports because 1. I'm lazy and 2. There comes the laziness can't think of another reason.
