72 days to go until Tony Stark returns in Iron Man 3. The first official character poster is here - Don Cheadle as the ‘Iron Patriot’.

Cool poster. But they'd better have a good explanation for Rhodes being Iron Patriot.

Unlikely. For one, people would annihilate the movie and it would give it a lot of bad publicity if they tried that. Relatively large quantities of people like Pepper Potts as Rescue, and lots of them are looking forward to the possibility of Gwyneth Paltrow suiting up in this:

seriously now, he has Iron Patriot's paint job but he IS NOT Iron Patriot. He is still War Machine, but with an american style paint job because it kinda makes sense to have your countries flag in your "uniform"
