Injustice 2 - The Lines Are Redrawn trailer

Lot of things I liked about this trailer. Specifically the Superman stuff, though I still think the costume looks a bit weird. I was kinda hoping Bats would be the villain but it seems they're going somewhere else with it. Anyway. Hyped! Only a few months left.

I'm super excited for this! They got my girl Poison Ivy in this and Brainiac too?! Oh yeah, the Ultimate Edition is totally going to be a birthday present of mine this year!

Ah... but is it Damian? Because I seem to recall Damian being as tall as Bruce, and wearing the Nightwing outfit. Actually I would think it's Tim because it sort of matches how his suits looked in the Arkham games, to a degree.

Wow. I loved Injustice and if the trailer is anything to go by, this will be even better.

Also, since Kara and Diana are fighting, is Kara allied with Bruce?

Darkseid look badass. At the end of the trailer was that Braniac? So is he the possible big bad for this? Cool.

Interesting data. There is going to be three alternate skins for characters, that will have new voices and dialogue : Reverse Flash (will be a skin of Flash), John Stewart (a skin of GL) and Power Girl (as a a skin of Supergirl)

Character designs are crazy good this time around. And the gear system will be Godly.

I get the feeling Spawn is very, very likely to show up as DLC.

That was awesome. I'm not really into fighting games, but the trailers have been great and I'm a big fan of the Injustice comic/story. Bring on the Braniac.

Also, the tune that kept popping up sounded very similar to Rey's theme.

On the plus side it will perhaps mean atleast one Robin wont be 'broken' or having thrown all his morals out the window just to support 'dad'... whom we should remember isn't exactly a model of good parenting.

Plus 'offspring' could be the less litteral meaning since the Robins are considered the sons of Batman.

Yeah it is a direct sequel. Picks up right where the last one left off.

Diana joining Bruce would definitely shake things up a bit.

I thought it was supposed to be set five years later? No doubt they'll have another comic series covering that five years.

On wikipedia it says there is a 5 year gap. And tie in comics were probably even better done than game, so I'm not complaining.

All I know is that it is "directly following the events of Injustice."

Have a feeling Braniac with play a lot like Sinestro, which is giving me all kinds of anxiety.

Oh hey, at least Poison Ivy is in it. That's awesome. And Brainiac, which is double awesome.

But Robin? Really? Ugh...what the hell is the point? Why not put in characters that won't play similarly to an existing one, such as Batman? Another reason I dislike Kara's addition...I'd prefer they avoid multiple characters that are too similar to each other. Harley Quinn also shouldn't be in there, but what can you do, DC seems intent on pushing her freakin' everywhere.

Where the hell did you get that Diana is fighting with Bruce? Superman is pretty clearly against Kara, who was kicking Wondy's ass mere seconds before, and Batman is supposed to be Kara's ally judging from all the promotional material.

I'm not following the alliances here?

@orangebat: I only played the first game casually but Nightwing played very differently to Batman from what I remember and was one of my favorite characters. I think someone mentioned Robin will have a sword so I imagine that will be one aspect that separate him from Batman from a gameplay perspective. He's also a good character to have for the story which is one of the unique things Injustice did really well compared to most fighting games.

As for Harley I think she's mostly there because she sells really well. I don't think she was anything special in the first game from what I remember but if her appearance helps to fund extra dlc or the next game then it's not a big deal to me.
