If it wasn't for Comic Vine, I would have never read (tried)

Wondering what you've given a try (series, story-arc, Graphic Novel, whatever.) that you wouldn't have if not for the input from Comic-Vine. Be it from reviews or just chatting around. For me, I would have never read:

Green Arrow: Year One (Which Rocked!)

Dogs of War. (Hulk story arc that was very good)

Indestructible Hulk.

I just go my first TPBs of "X-O Manowar" and "Invincible", because the comments on here about those series peaked my curiosity.

Anything Valiant.

The Darkness.

Kingdom Come and World War Hulk.

Star Wars EU

Five Weapons. Had no idea what it was until I was asked to review it.

Grant Morrison's JLA

IDW TMNT, Lemire/Sorrentino Green Arrow, Green Arrow Year One, and X-O Manowar.

Hawkeye.

Scarlet Spider and Indestructible Hulk. Both are beastly! Got to give Greg Katzman special thanks for recommending Scarlet Spider so much! Wouldn't have gotten it without him!

Those k4tzm4n reviews are the reason I'm religiously following Hawkeye, X-O Manowar, and Shadowman. Those are books I normally wouldn't have picked up. Very glad I did.

Babs' awesome Wonder Woman reviews got me into Azzarello's run. Have to say I'm glad I read those reviews by Sara.

Daredevil. I know...blasphemy...but I very quickly picked up the trades that were out (1-4 at the time) and got caught up ASAP. Now it's one of my favorites.

Basically anything DC before the New 52.

Made me wish I'd started reading DC years ago.

Comicvine helped me in three ways. The first was through the comic book appearances section because I was able to find out what comics my favorites appeared in. Finding those stories led to me discovering other characters that interested me.

The second way Comicvine helped me was when I was when I came across old threads. It was through that I discovered what Comixology was and found out about stories like Robin: Year One and some stories with Dick Grayson as Batman (which I was at first skeptical). Read one of the stories on the list that someone had mentioned in the thread, called Gates of Gotham and ended up wanting to read more.

More directly on Comicvine, I got help on finding a story that updated Captain America's origins and his dealing with being in the 21st Century.

Nextwave and speaking of things Billy got me to read...

Irredeemable for sure. The others I'm not so sure if I needed comicvine to be aware or interested in the other stories.

The Valiant books I read.If some viners didn't recommend me the books and say that they are amazing I would have never tried Bloodshot and Harbinger.

Scarlet Spider for sure, Valiant books, especially Shadowman. Just read the first trade expecting to not like the supernatural aspect, but really enjoyed it.

I, Vampire- a very good book that was ended far too soon. I'm looking forward to reading the final trade though.
