How powerful is the speed force?

A lot of people's opinions vary about it so I want to know people's view on it's full power.

The speed force is as powerful as the speed force.

However strong the plot requires.

I'd say the Speed Force is a universal force

but people that use it can only use a tiny bit of it

Depends on which iteration you're referring to as there have been multiple versions each with different effects.

The speed force is use a plot device used to justify any ability the flash pulls out of his arse.

@supermanwithatan01: But not versions of it is what I am saying. The speed force used by post crisis flash for example is the same that was used by new 52 flash unless I am missing something.

@watcher5000: well one version of the speedforce was essentially heaven for speedsters, once there no one ever came back and it literally warped away all memories, then it was considered a dimension. Then it was retconned again and it was stated to be created by Barry (I believe retconned in the New 52). Then Thawnes Anti-speedforce.. basically the 2 versions post rebirth are like the difference between Silver age Superman (speedforce in the 90s) and Golden Age (current). There have been like 6 different iterations, from it being heaven, another dimension, another universe coinciding with ours, back to a dimension, and then it was something made of Energy (that captain atom was able to manipulate in Barry for some WIS reason) and now I believe it's just back to another dimension.

You're correct that it's the same speed force but the different iterations vary greatly in terms of what they did. Now it doesn't kill anymore, it doesn't wipe memories or absorb you, it doesn't control the flow of time, it adheres to it and is just another energy dimension.

It's potentially very powerful, it depends on the practitioner.

More powerful than Wolverine plot armor but not quite as good as Batmans? I think, maybe.

Powerful enough to house all of the multiverse (except for limbo, hell, heaven and the 3rd world) including the Rock of Eternity, House of Heroes, Orery of Worlds, and all the different Universes like Earth 1 thru Earth 52 and the entire Bleed. And give probably over 100 speedsters the ability to either run much faster than light, or even other abilities like density shifting, opening gates, phasing through objects among other abilities.
