Poll How much longer will the current cbm era go on? (11 votes)

2-3 more years 0%
4-5 more years 9%
6-7 more years 18%
more than 7 years 73%

As in, how much longer do you think we will see 3-4 major budget cbm's being made a year that keep making $500m+ at the box office?

Well Marvel and DC have movies planned out until 2020 so far so more than 7 years, I'd venture.

You know, it's a fad. A gigantic, stinking rich fad, making more money then people even knew existed, but it is a fad. Like all fads, inferior products will begin to flood the market, causing saturation and buyer apathy, and thus the market will collapse, likely as fast as it rose.

I'd give till at least the justice league movie comes out before we start to see this happen. So likely, about 5 years.

Very long. We have just scratched the surface. ... If BVS and Avengers 2 are successful.

Batman movies are always gonna make money no matter what, and even spiderman and superman to some extent. So it'll probably go on for a long while, though to a lesser extent after Justice league and Avengers 4 are done. Then we will probably see less hero movies.
