Just wanted to know people's thoughts as there usually tends to be disagreement.
How happy are you, with how 'social' comicvine is?

No I'm not satisfied
@lordmaverick: I am of a similar opinion, there seem to be a few 'lurkers' like myself, who watch and read more than comment as well. However the site seems to be moving away from what I remembered/liked it to be.
@the_thunderer: some people join and post more in a couple months than I have in almost 6 years, i think this site is loosing direction

I'd say most of those posters usually only end lasting month maybe a little more before disappearing entirely.
Pretty much sums up every single debate here on comic vine.
lol
When you have good discussions in hand and good battles to make.... no one seems to pay attention unless you have had plenty of posts and years on this website, or are moderators, or have a golden/silver badge on your icon. Its just how it is on here. So for a normal viner you might as well just reply to things on the vine rather than create something yourself until you have.... what 2,000 maybe 3,000 posts? or more maybe a little less. I could be wrong. No I'm not satisfied. But I just keep coming back for some odd reason....

@jasonhawke: You said it!
It's actually a typical internet forum. I don't know what people are expecting. I'm also on forums for sports teams, and it's no different. There will be debates and hard feelings, and folks will be unreasonable sometimes. As I once heard (and I'll paraphrase) "We have a tool with all the knowledge and learning experiences you could conceive at our finger-tips, but we mostly use it to argue with strangers."

LoL, the irony here :-P
A little tired of the little kids who have never read anything before 2010 but speak as an ultimate authority on characters dating back to the sixties. Also people who cannot separate the history and characterization of the comic books from TV and movies annoy me a little.

yes i hate the little tards that act like thay know something when thay dont even when you tell them to read the comics
@lordmaverick: I found myself wondering which of those categories I fit into until I realized "all of them."

That's annoying. They could least do research.

"You dont understand the young kids cause you're old!" & "you're outta touch!"
"Dang nabit, back in my day..." & "Youngsters these days dunno bout them REAL heroes in my day!"
Honestly, it's a lot better than other forums I visit, at least, for the most part, people here are nice and respectful.
Seems to be that the number of good (new) threads are diminishing, Am I missing them? Or was it simply inevitable that we would run out of good battles etc to discuss?
