How *GOOD* was Marvel : Civil War

I've read some of it, but there's a lot that I haven't read. I'm considering purchasing the entire tpb line that covers the main events of the story arc, but would like some input from others that have read the entire series. On top of that, aside from the tpb's that cover the primary events, which other Civil War tpb's would you recommend.....and why?

The art alone is reason to buy it. McNiven is the man.
