Has anyone explain how Loki's knife could cut MCU Thor?

loki's knife is asgard made.

It's an Asgardian knife made to stab Asgardians. Other weaker MCU Asgardians have been shows to crush knifes in their bare hands and tank shots from shotguns point blank.
