While C-3PO appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, many people are wondering where the droid got its red arm. C-3PO even alludes to the change in the film, but there's no answers to why or how it happened. This March, Marvel Comics will answer the question in the upcoming Star Wars Special: C-3PO #1. The company revealed a new photo cover for the comic recently.

No Caption Provided

The one-shot story will be written by James Robinson and drawn by Tony Harris. This is the same creative team behind the critically-acclaimed DC series Starman. The comic will follow C-3PO and the events that led to the droid getting a red arm.

This is the second story in what Marvel has titled "The Journey to Force Awakens." Last year, Marvel put out a four issue mini-series titled Shattered Empire, which takes place right after the events of Return of the Jedi and followed Poe Dameron's parents, both of which were Rebel Pilots.

Star Wars Special: C-3PO will hit comic stores in March.

James Robinson didn't write Lando. Charles Soule did. Unless that is referring to something else?

Oh who cares? Really, this sort of stuff is the worst. Boba Fett was cool, want to learn about his lame backstory. Darth Vader seemed cool, lets ruin that by explaining how he came to be. Furiosa and Imperator Joe are awesome characters, they need a prequel comic books. Super lame.

No offense, but C3P0 is uninteresting. I dunno why Disney insists on banking so much on the OT trilogy characters and themes. Or pushing Poe what's his face as an ongoing. Or white knights saying Rey is the best SW character to exist. So infuriating.

Not complaints, statements. We've seen enough OT and Rogue One and Episode 8 are coming out soon enough to satiate people. We wanna see somethin' else done, not C3P0's autobiography on his red arm, or how Poe Dameron managed to survive The Empire 2.0 until he encounters FN-2187. Its incredibly droll.

Missed opportunity was releasing this right around The Force Awakens. Does anyone honestly want to shell out $5 to learn this?

From what I've been told throughout the years, no one I know likes C-3PO. As a kid I liked him. As an adult, he's okay. But I 100% shake my head at this... it's a poor attempt to make money, and I really doubt it will work.

Especially because of how they decided to bring it up.

I could't help but laugh at the quote. And not in a good way.
