Digital comics: Kindle or comiXology

I am aware that your purchases of comics and collected edition of comics from Amazon can also be accessed with your comixology app and that most comics are cheaper in Amazon. However, what's holding me back from purchasing comics from Amazon is the idea of what if in the future, comixology separates from Amazon or is bought by another company? Most likely you can no longer access your Kindle comic library in comixology and for me, the comixology app is better than the Kindle app because of the reader and the way comics are organized.
