Did Green Arrow had any history with Ras Al Ghul in comics ?

well in season 3, it seems oliver queen has to face Ras al ghul who has now killed him and they are gonna use lazarus pit to bring oliver back , but did something like this happen in green arrow comics ? because i feel Ras al ghul is Batman's villain not arrow, well yea batman fanboys surely are not happy about this but what can you do ? CW wanted batman tv series but DC warner brothers wanted batman to stay in the cinematic universe

I think Merlyn (Green Arrow's arch nemesis) was in the the League of Assassins in the comics like the show...

Why does anyone care? Its not like they're running around slapping GA's face into the old stories people liked. Its just a different universe and it makes no difference. GA in the comics has like 5 villains that are considered his rogues and that'd make for a crappy series. Why is it ok for comic GA to use Bat villains on a regular basis but you put it on TV and everybody freaks out?

No but merlyn and black canary both have strong ties to the league of assassins. So it's a very logical choice for the show considering green arrow's weak rogues gallery, despite what all the complainers will tell you.
