Deadpool vs Harley Quinn: Who's more overrated?
In my opinion, neither of these characters are overrated.
I dont like them,but overrated would be people saying they are good characters,never heard no one say that,people say they are funny not great game changing personalitys in the comics book genre,i dont think they are funny though,if the question was about which of these characters books is least interesting it would make more sense

I completely disagree.
In my opinion, neither of these characters are overrated.
They're not overrated. This is a salt thread :/
Eh, both are great characters in the right hands. I'm more partial to Deadpool myself, and he's actually a very ineresting person to read about. Non-Waypool that is. Waypool is bollocks. Every other version ranges from dang good to great IMO.
@darthkostis: Waypool?
@theexile285: Deadpool under Daniel Way's pen. Basically the internet meme version of the character.
@darthkostis: Oh ok. Lol.
I like Harley, I don't like DP... But neither is overrated. Cosplaying as them though, THAT'S overrated.
Harley Quinn is arguably the second most popular DC female character, maybe she's now first. Have you seen all the HQ merchandise lately? The Deadpool movie was a huge success. If anything people have underrated them.
not overrated, but overhyped i believe is a better word to describe it. I don't understand why everybody wants a relationship like Harley and Joker when Harley is beat up every three seconds by Joker. And I don't understand the hype of Deadpool since he usually doesn't even act the way these fanboys pretend he does. It's pretty irritating to see people pretend they like Comic characters and obsess over them when they barely know what they are.
@sooperfly: The internet likes Deadpool cause he embodies the internet...at least, Way's Deadpool does.
Random, Violent, makes pop culture references and sex jokes. He's the internet
I'd say Harley only for the ignorant fans that want to find their "Joker" and not realize how abusive the relationship is and that you shouldn't want that. Misinformed Deadpool fans just walk around being annoying.
Outside of that neither is really overrated, just popular.
I do genuinely like both characters, weird as the hype is, but
the only thing I can really confidently say is that Deadpool has definitely remained more of the same character throughout his run than Harley has. Her story and character is getting pretty lost.
When somebody says he liked Deadpool people come in and say he is a poser, or that he just says that to try to look cool, etc.
Same with Harley, I find them not overrated but overhated
I will never get the notion of a character being overrated. Characters unlike movies, novels or even comics, cannot be judged by pacing, editing, structure and dialogue. It's all about how much you relate and/or enjoy the character.
Deadpool is overrated, mostly because some of his supporters are non-comic readers that treat Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe as if it's undeniable fact that he beats a lot of characters that he really can't. They also say he's funny, which he's not anymore..His best recent material hasn't been since his 2008-2010ish books imo. He also shows up everywhere when he's not needed, thus causing overexposure. Giving him that immortality curse didn't help matters either, though it's nice that it's been gone for the past 2 years. I simply don't like the direction his character has gone. It's like he's had his character changed mostly just to appeal to the casuals/mainstream, giving up some of his good qualities to become, as someone already mentioned, the personification of the internet.
As for Harley, idk if I consider her overrated but rather that she's just showing up everywhere.
Batman. Batman is always overrated.
On Topic: neither. Harley is Great [really]. Deadpool is good if written by Duggan [and only by him, for me]
Deadpool is just a goofy, pervy, and less serious version of spiderman imo. But can stand alone on his own.
Harley is cool but wouldn't be anything without the joker. Can't stand alone on her own imo.
Harley Quinn and Deadpool are both good characters when you go in depth and understand them. The problem comes when- for lack of a better term- the LOL TOTES RANDOMZ LULZ OMG KAWAII I AM A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE people come and talk about them as if they actually watched more than Deadpool the movie and Suicide Squad. I voted Harley though because I think those people are even more heavily associated with her. I admit I lack knowledge on the both of them, but I don't go around pretending I do.

Deadpool
Well well well...
@oogienj: qft
In terms of powers? Harley by a mile. Deadpool fans exagerrate his abilities, annoying as it is its standard fanboy behaviour.
Harley fans on the other hand invent powers for her and claim they always existed. Case in point her intelligence, these people will claim to death that she is a super smart person..haha
I find them both annoying and dont see what the big deal is over either one, Theyre just bad joke making characters for like 90% of what ive read of them.
The only time Harley has been enjoyable is in the cartoon she was created in and for Deadpool it's when he makes me hate Dan Slott's Spider-Man to the point where im more interested in him and hoping something horrible happens to Spidey.
@captainmarvel4ever: Well he is winning to polls so I'm right.
Quinn Lately I say has been very overrated. Deadpool was and is actually pretty cool regardless of how badly he's become a bandwagon character
