Poll DCEU vs Nolanverse: Better Fight Choreography (65 votes)

Common, the DCEU movies aren't even out yet and eventhrough the Nolan's choreography lacked in some aspects they also put great emotion in others like where he fight the SWATS.
The swat fight was pretty cool, I'll give Nolan that. Let's wait for hype to die down and the full movie to come out.
I don`t think choreography was ever a strong suit when it came to the Nolan Batman films but there were a lot of moments that gave you the feeling that something special is happening. What we are seeing so far in regards to the DCEU is more emphasized in the element of action and spectacle rather than drama and suspense.
Although TDK trilogy possess some of the greatest superhero films ever, it's not exactly known for it's great choreography (mercs being KO'd by nothing, goons trying to hit Batman with guns instead of shooting them, etc. etc.).
This seems like a bad joke

God, I hope people don't use the DCEU to start bashing on the Nolan Trilogy. It seems like every time a new DC movie comes out, people use it to talk crap about previous DC films.

Omg I was so mad the other day when I rewatched Dark Knight. Joker's thugs were trying to pistol whip him. I yelled at my monitor.
@the_stegman: It's about feats man, feats!!!
All that aside I was never impressed with the fight choreography of the Nolan films but they weren't exactly action movies so yeah...not really something they focused on.
MOS had great fights too and yet look how divisive that movie is. Some of the earlier reports of this film are not encouraging(for the WB executives) so dont be surprised if they show Snyder the boot. In that case bye bye choreography.
Nolan made better movies and is the better film maker period.

This. It was obvious from the start that the Snyder Batman will be a better fighter than Nolan's. This is just an excuse to make fun of and embarrass Nolan Batman. Sad.

Yup,it's a pointless spite thread.
Take it with a grain of salt but this guy loved MOS and what he's saying sounds incredibly plausible.

It seems like they're more worried about the box office receipts and not the quality of the film itself. It seems Warner is just getting spooked by some of the trailer responses because they underestimated the spitefulness and "jump the gun" tendencies of haters and fanboys who are going to watch the film regardless. It's like, they're expecting this to do 1 billion+ and anything less will be considered a failure. I'm not really of that mindset as long as it's good. And interestingly enough, the two characters that people were most critical of -- Afflecks Batman and Eisenbergs Luthor -- are supposedly good and great respectively. So, yeah, it may be plausible that Warner is worried about the BO of the film but given the fact that this guy said nothing but good things about the quality, the video just seems more click-bait than anything. I mean, they're taking a big risk....any studio would be worried about the profit.......and IMO, there's no way this movie is doing anything south of 800 million+ and that's a lowball.

@buttersdaman000: I call BS on that though, the BO trackings of the movie is solid as hell. And it has no solid competition for 6 weeks, I'm finding this hard to believe. The same guy said they have a no joke policy so his sources are a bit... I'll let you draw your own conclusion.
Really? If that's true then yah, that was definitely just a click bait video
I'm confidently expecting this movie to pull in Avengers numbers for sure. WB certainly has a billion dollar movie here.
@entropy_aegis: McSausage was also the same "scooper" that said the DCEU has a "no joke" policy. I don't know where he's getting his info from. He's too big to fit inside the WB studios ventilation shafts.
@buttersdaman000: they're very solid it's above Furious 7 but just under Jurassic World. And he even apparently blocked someone on twitter who asked for some evidence.
Hmm that's good to know
Snyder > Nolan when it comes to fight/action sequences sooooooo.....
well I gotta say, if we are talking about action sequences , TDK chase was amazing, full of practical effects, almost all of that was real. so for me thats the action sequence to beat.
Too early to tell. But when I see that new clip of Batman, the nolanverse choreography looks more elegant in a way. It's more human. While this new choreography is more action packed and it reminds me of Watchmen. I'm not saying which is better. I'm just saying what I think the differences are.
DCEU I think.
Nolanverse was more realistic and down to earth, kind of felt lame when I watched them as a kid and they still feel lame as an old man.
Nolan is a solid director when it comes to large-scale visuals and imagery, but he's inept at shooting small scale scenes and action
This is a good video discussing some such points:

@chris-sama: This. Nolanverse fights arent great. DCEU is top notch.
@thelastdragonborn: Not really.
@chris-sama: MOS fight scenes are easily the best depiction of superpowered combat atleast compared to SOny MCU and Fox
Warehouse scene is also stellar. DCEU needs more h2h before we can compare it to mcu. For now h2h mcu > DCEU and
superpowered combat DCEU >>> MCU
MCU superpowered fights are ... disappointing. Here is hoping ragnarok and infinity war will change that
But youre a hater so... you probably think thor v kurse was a better fight than mos smallville fight lol
