DCEU Batman or MCU Captain America: Who's more bada**?
@uncanny_doom: loool he's not really trying to be badass, he is what he is which just happens to be badass.
The very way he's written is "Look at this Batman! Isn't he SUPER BADASS?! He does crossfit! He doesn't care about letting people die! He's super serious and can beat up Superman!"
It's try-hard to it's fullest. MCU Cap so effortlessly feels natural and will stand for whatever he believes, carrying himself with a mature strength that reads badass much better than Batfleck.
@uncanny_doom: Lol ... So MANY MCU Wankers here . You top the list though
MCU Cap cant even lick DCEU Bats foot ...
Spoken like a real objective and unbaised person....
one guy was given a drug and is now able to do what that drug is supposed to make him do
the other had to train to push himself beyond any regular human limits using ingenuity and apparently trial and error to get his gear to optimum efficiency
thats like one guy getting liposuction, and another working out, the guy that got lipo might even end up looking better, but the guy that actually worked to get where he is, is the badass in my book
Batman.
The capitan is not badass. He has boyscout personality not bad ass personality.
Brooding isn't a "badass" personality though.
I didn't say anything about brooding.
You mentioned Batman.
Yes I did.
I understand that people are entitled to their opinion, but some of the reasoning here is nothing short of asinine. I mean people love claiming Cap is only who is because of the serum, while completely disregarding the circumstance which earned him the thing in the first place. Not to mention his skill and willpower, which wasn't 'gifted' to him by the serum.
By the the criteria people are arguing for Batman would really make the Punisher the most badass. No serum, no billions of dollars, no gadgets or mask. Just pain, will and pure badass. Not too mention he puts villains down permanently. Case closed.

the circumstance was that he was a nice guy, not a badass
and to me it seems like his skill was mostly gifted to him, the main aspect of his skill is his acrobatics which he couldn't do without the serum, and his fight with Batroc showed him learn to use Batrocs moves against him, something he wasn't able to do before the serum
he did have willpower, but I wouldn't say he had more than Batman, and not enough to make him a badass on it's own

yup, I'd also vote Fox Wolverine as the most badass too
@mrnoital: Not quite. The reason he was chosen for the serum was because of his near unparalleled bravery and the fact that he does the right thing no matter the circumstance. I mean he did try to jump on a grenade and sacrifice his life at the drop of a hat. That is not something you find in your garden variety nice guy. That is nothing short of Badass
Why do I feel he is a guy of strong will you ask?. It is the fact that he survived with a laundry list of potentially fatal illnesses in an era where even basic effective medication was rare. What has Batman even done for you to assume he has greater will?.
I am not sure what you mean by the acrobatics part, but he still needed to work for his skills. They weren't the part and parcel of the serum. It is again no different than saying Batman is not badass because he was a privileged child who had the time and resources to be whatever he wanted to be and not a sickly child born to working class parents
Not trying to change your mind, but to say Cap is nothing without his serum is just doing disservice to the character.
@brucerogers: but that almost seemed like it was cause he didn't value himself, putting himself though beatings he knew he couldn't win, walking out on and refusing dates his best friend was setting him up with, he honestly seemed depressed to me, and that's why he was so willing to sacrifice himself in my mind, because he valued other life above his own, which is honorable, but a bit less than badass
I did not ask you why you think he has willpower, I agreed that he had willpower, but if just surviving makes you a badass, then Batman bringing himself up to near caps level by sheer willpower makes him a much bigger badass
the serum is known to enhance everything including the brain, and that's why he was able to learn martial arts faster, and that's why he's able to make those sheild bounces
Batman may have had time and resources, but he had to make his body and tools by himself over his entire life, with unparallelled dedication, Cap was given the serum and the shield and boom, instant superhero
@mrnoital: I guess we have to agree to disagree since we clearly follow different definitions of the word 'badass'. I just don't think it is fair to claim he is nothing without his serum. That's all
"Badass--->The epitome of the American male. He radiates confidence in everything he does, whether it's ordering a drink, buying a set of wheels, or dealing with women. He's slow to anger, brutally efficient when fighting back."
These attributes both Steve and Bruce have shown. But i am giving Steve the edge cause his virtues are greater than those of Bruce's. He allowed his best friend to beat the shit out of him and nearly killed him because he believed that their friendship would finally resurface within his friend. He is not hesitant to come in conflict with his allies and friends whenever they go against what he sees to be as right (like in Civil War). The reason he got his powers was the fact that he exhibited a huge heart filled with courage, bravery and selflessness. He jumped on a freaking grenade to save people he barely knew with no second thoughts. He regularly visited his old love interest and kept her company in her last days.
If a morally bright, stable, optimistic, confident and strong character with a radiant energy escorting his morally driven actions isn't badass then i dont know what to say.
Batman hasn't proved to be anything more than a brutish cold calculative brawler. Its easier to compare him to Bucky under his Winter Soldier mentality than with Captain America. He was preparing to fight Superman and kill him and sure, he did want to show Clark that he was not invincible and that he could beat him but come on, gasing him and proceeding to punch him? Make a kryptonite knife and just use that to neutralize him and then beat on him since you dont know how long the gas lasts. This fight was stupid as hell thought, it was really unecessary.
Also,he never fought Doomsday. He simply dodged as well as he could. Which is the only reasonable thing a human would do against a kryptonian monster. Attempting to fight Doomsday would be straight up stupidity, which is the standing out trait of the soldier from MoS who after failing to hurt Faora with his handgun proceeded to pull his knife and almost engage in a h2h knife fight with her as if he actually had a chance.

@sc: Dude .. you just brought up a thing thats forgotten for like 4 days ... cheer up
Friend, unfortunately it would be really unfair to the other users that get warnings for similar, if you were treated special and weren't addressed. Also I am rather cheerful, please don't assume otherwise. I mean, I can't always post a picture of rainbow colored puppies after each reply so people definitely know heh heh.
If you have questions or worries, you can send me a PM, cool?
This is hard to choose. Based on personality traits alone, I'd go with Bruce. However based on feats, Caps got this.
Cap's the nice guy, the guy that would do anything morally right. He's the very nice, nice guy. He's the guy that cries emotionally if his girlfriend broke his heart because she was a _____, yet is still the same guy that could kick multiple men 15 feet in the air.
Current Bruce looks like this tired, brooding, worn-out man who trained his ass off on a daily basis to get where he is. He looks like the guy that would of done some real cool ____ back in his days.
It's tied for me.
