I think the similarities in appearance and personality between Namor and Black Adam are uncanny.
Their abilities are even similar. Do you think D C copied Marvel for once?

Thats part of what I'm saying. BA looks and acts alot like Namor and now they are both kings. or did BA lose his country?
Forever says:
"DC copies Marvel all the time. They're both always copying each other."
its the way of life
How Marvel copied DC:
Supes=Hyperion, Gladiator
Bats=...basically the Shiar Imperial guard and the crew Hyperion runs with.
How DC copied Marvel:
Namor=Black Adam

Not sure but your right, BA acts just like Namor right down to the arrogant ruler part. That just happened in the last couple of years to cause I never paid any attention to BA and then all the sudden it was like this guys an asshole but a cool asshole. Just like Namor. and me.

You forgot Sentry, thats a Superman ripoff if I ever saw one.
I know they copy eachother. But it seems like Marvel has copied more. Even to make the DC clones background characters. And I won't go into detail on how the smaller company's (Image Studios) have bitten.

Sentry is a ripoff but he rocks, every comic company has a character based on Superman.

"spiderman0409 says:"is there a dc version of spiderman "No I don't believe so."
at least spiderman is orignal
Superman and Batman squared off against a team, the Maximums, that had more than a passing resemblance to the Avengers. There was a Spider-man character there called Bug.

All members of Squadron Superme are analogues of DC characters, and most of the Imperial Guard members are analogues of the Legion of Superheroes.
And there is also Deathstroke-Deadpool
Sparda says:
"Fesak just said what I would've."
They both copy each other Sparda. Lots of times they employ the same writers and artists and those guys just bring over characters they were using on the other side. If I remember correctly, Claremont used to work on the LSH which is why it was easier for him to use LSH type characters for the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, instead of creating all new characters from scratch. So it happens all the time, both ways.
Sparda says:
"Yeah, that was just some examples. And, let's not forget Thanos=Darkseid rip-off. Doomsday=Hulk rip-off."
Marvel just does it better
Black Adam was created in Fawcett Comics, not DC. DC bought the rights to him later on. So no, DC didn't copy Marvel.
DC and Marvel have been copying each other for years for instance Captain America/Guardian, Black Spider/Spiderman, Justice League/Avengers, Green Lantern Corps/ Nova Corps, Namor/Aquaman, pick a character or storyline from after 1963 and I can guarantee you that one or the other has done it first.
Imperial Guard = Legion of Superheroes. Hello?How Marvel copied DC:
Supes=Hyperion, Gladiator
Bats=...basically the Shiar Imperial guard and the crew Hyperion runs with.
How DC copied Marvel:
Namor=Black Adam
They were AWESOME too. Ed mcguiness did a helluve job with them.Superman and Batman squared off against a team, the Maximums, that had more than a passing resemblance to the Avengers. There was a Spider-man character there called Bug.

5 years later and I'm still confused over how Black Adam and Namor's abilities are kind of similar
Reading the thread again 5 years later, I'm also confused as to how they are all that similar. They both have black hair and pointy ears I guess, but that would make Spock a Namor rip-off too.
As far as the idea that one side rips off the other goes, it's important to remember that a lot of writers an artists have drifted from one publisher to the other over the years and they bring their ideas with them.

@The Mighty Thor said:Black spideris there a dc version of spiderman
Other than the fact that they are both named after a spider, there aren't any other similarities. BS doesn't even have spider-powers or any other powers tbh. Unless you are refering to the Young Justice version of Black Spider who was clearly modeled after Spider-Man but still the original comic version is not.
