CW Ra's was a medieval moron,Bane owns him.
Ra's fighting ability was his own. Every feat he performed was through his own skill and power. Bane showed some skill, and plenty of strength, but at the end of the day, him defeating Batman and all of his other high end feats were due to his inability to feel pain. Take that away and he could barely move, let alone fight. So yes, Ra's is the significantly bigger badass
Bane had better lines and acting
they both destroyed their respective heroes and suffered lame deaths
but Bane for me.
Ra's dude cut a swath through cats for over 100 years. Killed a group of Assassins with one arm.
Bested the best pound for pound fighters in the Flarrowverse and made a hot daughter.
And had the most lethal people on the planet afraid of him. He also beat Damien Darhk in a sword duel.
Bane was a side kick.
I take the lovesick bulldog puppy over the supposedly threatening villain that gives Felicity love advice.
Bane's presence was more bad ass. Ras was more wise than bad ass. Bane lost a large chunk of his badassness whenever he opened his mouth.

Not really,he's the one who protected Talia from the day she was born and she clearly loved him back,it's like saying your parents or elder siblings are sidekicks.
Still Bane teaches him a thing or two about modernity, starts by telling him assault rifles>arrows and cell phones>purple smoke, followed by a lecture on Thomas Edison and bulbs.
Ra's has done more than bane could ever achieve.
He's a certified badass.
Such as?
Catching Merlyn? only because Thea gave him up. At the rate they were going,he would have died of old age before they even laid a finger on him.
Killing Oliver? LOL. Then he got fooled trying to convert him.
Destroying Star City? couldn't do it and needed a virus gifted by a grunt. Give this guy some R&D funds, his fodder still use bows for Christ's sakes and he uses lamps.
Bane takes pity and sends him a tube light for Christmas. Then he sits in his tumbler and proceeds to lay waste to Nanda Parbat.
@entropy_aegis: My response was just to tug at the Nolanite nut hairs.
He (Bane) is a favorite. But I loooved Nables Ra's.

@lpnq: He wasn't a puppet,he was in love and the woman loved him back,Ra's was the actual puppet of whoever made that ridiculous prophecy.

Nah mate,
saying "ra's was the actual puppet of whoever made that ridiculous prophecy"
is just like saying bane was a puppet because he fell in love, because someone else made love
You know what i mean?
Ra's was the leader, bane was just a kid manipulated from birth.
Bane was just a puppet, so Ra's.

Everything Ra's did in the second half of the third season was based an absolute belief in some vague prophecy.Just because he led a group doesn't mean he wasn't a puppet. He showed himself to be an extraordinary moron,Merlyn and Ollie ran circles around him using that lame prophecy. Simply put Ra's was the fish and the prophecy was bait,Ra's took it and got owned. He was Ollie and Merlyn's b!tch they manipulated him perfectly, that makes him a puppet.
Bane wasn't manipulated from birth at all,not sure what movie you watched. Though basic comprehension vanishes every time Rises gets mentioned so I cant exactly fault you. He blatantly defied Talia's final order, why do you think the director inserted that sequence?

To show that he has a mind of his own, okay i'll give you that however how does making ur own choices make you a certified bad ass?
Let me tell you.
Ra's al ghoul is the DEMON HEAD cmon how badass is that man?
Bane adopted the dark? Ra's Made the dark son.
