ComicVine: Top 100 Comic Book Superheroes.

What about Darkhorse (I know nothing about the characters, but they're important, no?)

Question: Are we doing just heroes or heroes, villains, and supporting characters ?

I did my list of candidates. I can't wait to see what everyone's come up with.

I want dynamite if I cannot get DC. Also I see marel is split X-Men, Avenges. Is there a split for DC?

Also what if DC guys nominate the same person?

@Liberty: I'll probably ask the second nominater for an alternate nomination if we get duplicates.

I thought marvel needed a slip and could think of how to split it. As DC was a large company, i thought it should be the same, but really couldn't think of a way to slit it. I figure I'll let Dark Huntress and Primmaster have their own discression.

A good example of a nomination is Primemasters' (you don't have to send it till we have gathered all 20 of the partisipants, but):

• Superman
• Captain Marvel
• Wonder Woman
• Dick Grayson
• Power Girl
• Green Lantern(Kyle Rayner)
• Superboy
• Invincible(image)

as you can see, he used both DC and image. so you can do any way you feel led. I'm sort of letting you guys worrry...I mean think about nominations...

What is the criteria? Are we looking for the character who fits the Archtype of superhero or are we picking our favorites or something else?

A critical flaw in list. We need to some how account for defunct publishers. Kind of a catch all of characters who might not get considered because they are not a current publisher. turoksonofstone would be perfect as he knows more about the public domain characters than anyone I know besides myself that is. =)

I'd love to represent 2000 AD's myriad of characters, but we have a big problem in that Judge Dredd is a villain. When push comes to shove Dredd is the most popular and obviously the top character for the book/publisher.

Thats where the community comes in. I will post the list and users and look over it. Each user can request a character to be moved up or down on the list, depending on how they feel about a character. they can do this only once and such a move would only be up or down ONE position. If say you don't like Batman (is there any people like that?) and he's on the bottem of the list, you can't just request for him to be moved to the hundredth position. you can only move a chracter up or down one position.

After a week has passed, the blog where all requests are submitted will locked and the results (at least for this year) will be used to create a list.

instead of an ABC list, may be an Alan Moore list so I can include V, the Watchmen crew, Mogo, Sodam Yat, Tao, Maxwell, Halo Jones and others her has created or made famous like Swamp Thing and Supreme.

Can we take off these four publishers for others? There are so many publishers that have thicker histories and characters. turoksonofstone, silkcuts and I mentioned a bunch above this post. They just seem bush league.

1. Zenescope Entertainment - This company is not really a superhero company. Who would get put on the list? Alice? I cannot think of any characters from this company that should be on a top 100. Now I'm sure someone will challenge that but really? I mean really?
2. Disney - What is being considered here? Aladdin, Nemo, Winnie the pooh, Lion King? Does anyone really believe these characters should be on a 100 list of superheroes?
3. Red 5 - Red 5's longest lasting run is 8 issues. This won't be a top 8 list. It will be a list of all their characters. Would any really make a real top 100 list?
4. Viz - Remember the premise. (Top 100 Comic Book Superheroes) Can anyone besides a BESM nut really take these characters? It would be like adding Danielle Steel Characters. It make no sense.
