What are some comics like The Walking Dead, that aren't afrad of killing major characters and nit bringing them back?
Comics that aren't afraid
Honestly - anything that isn't Marvel or DC.
Pretty much, yeah. Especially creator-owned comics.
Honestly - anything that isn't Marvel or DC.
But Marvel killed off Gwen Stacy though and never brought her back.

Yeah but they did something even worse than that.

Does Spider-Gwen count?

That scene makes my spine crawl. The person who made that comic should never write another comic again, EVER. But that scene is before she died so it doesn't count.
Wasn't Gwen cloned?
What about Spider Gwen?
And Ultimate Gwen?
Ultimate Gwen got killed by Carnage, Spider Gwen is set in another universe so it doesn't count, Cloned Gwen isn't the real Gwen so it doesn't count again.

Different universe so it doesn't count. 616 Gwen is still dead.
It's not a question of a company being "afraid" or some other company being "bold" It has more to do with iconic-ness of the characters. The Walking Dead can kill anyone, because none of the characters are iconic, and few people really care who lives and dies in those story-lines. Marvel or DC can't simply kill Peter Parker or Clark kent for good. The back-lash would be wayyyy more than it'd be worth. Heck, at least 50% of us didn't like when Peter Parker got "replaced" Most of us couldn't wait for "the real Spider-man" to come back. Could you imagine what the outcry would've been had Parker simply died, never to show up again except in an occasional flash-back? Killing Peter Parker for good wouldn't be a "bold" move by Marvel that they are simply "afraid" to do. It would be an incredibly stupid business decision. It's not like these other companies have "more guts"...more options maybe, but not more guts.
