San Diego Comic-Con is only about a week away and the Comic Vine staff is thoroughly excited for the big event. We'll wander the floor, interview talent, and cover many of the noteworthy panels, but this week, we want to know why you enjoy attending these conventions. There's 5 options on our latest poll -- covering everything from cosplay to buying art commissions --and no, "all of the above" isn't on there! That would make your decision far too easy, right? And in the event you don't like going to conventions, well, you're out of luck and should go vote in one of our many other polls. This is the spot for people who love going to these events!

The poll's staying open until Thursday morning (ET). Once it's locked and all of the votes are in, we'll post an updated article with all of the results. We'll even pick a few posts to highlight in the new article. However, if you do want your post to be considered, please try to restrict it to a few paragraphs at most. Now, it's time to ask yourself why you really love going to these events! Oh, and we'll see you at the convention, Comic Viners!

Check the homepage Thursday for the question results and more. If you want to share a question idea for the segment, feel free to post it below or reach out via Twitter.

The only one I've been to is the Baltimore Comic-Con (Well, Akron as well, but Baltimore 's the only big one I've attended.) What I liked about it was it was ONLY comics. No Star-Trek, No Star-Wars, no Harry Potter, no anime, no T.V shows, etc... I'm speaking only about the "talent", people still could dress up as Darth Vader if they so desired, but it was truly a comic-convention and not a pop-culture convention. meeting Scotty Snyder, Mark Waid, Neal Adams and Walt Simonson was a great experience.

The biggest reason I go is too get commssioned art from some of the very talented people in comics. Having custom one of a kind art is something very special. My family and I are also big into the cosplay and we are getting more into it all the time. I have no interest in attending panels or screenings. Probably never make it out to SDCC but if anyone if going to Boston's Comic Con this year I'll be there!

anyone know of any conventions in new england that are actually dedicated to comic books and not tv shows and other stuff not related to comic books?

Boston Comic Con Aug. 8th-10th

You would have a hard time finding a good "only comics" convention at this point. A lot of the time tv shows are based off of comics or comics are made based off tv shows. They are often related these days.

SDCC and NYCC seem to have more non-comic related booths and guests than most other conventions.

Buying comics of course thats why theyre called comic conventions. Get really tired of all the non comic related bs at all the cons ive gone to

Each con I attend, the cleverness of the cosplayers seems to get more and more interesting. At AKON in June I saw a Xenomorph from ALIEN, I saw a Raiden from Revengeance, as well as many many other impressive outfits. I've seen a person cosplaying as MOTHRA complete with full wingspan, I've seen a gender swapped Marcus Fenix, an undead Stormtrooper... the list goes on and on.

It's not a hobby I partake in, but the level of skill always manages to be very impressive.

See my first post on this topic re: Baltimore. Being only comics is something they pride themselves on.

@manwhohaseverything: There's others out there as well. New York is having a Special Edition Con that is focused more on just comics like Baltimore.

Baltimore really does look like a good show with a lot of good guests. I'll have to consider it for 2015.

No all of the above option? It wouldn't really be a comic book convention if they didn't have all the things listed.

Meeting talent is probably my favorite though
