Every week, we take a look at some of the most bizarre, exciting, and downright unique things to happen in comics. Check out our choices of the strange and wacky things that shouldn't be overlooked from this week's releases.
There may be some tiny spoilers ahead.
Mockingbird #6
Best Reason to Avoid Public Pools
Mockingbird received an anonymous invitation on a cruise, promising information that could help clear Hawkeye on his murder trial. She later gets a message to meet by the pool. As a kid jumps into the water, it most likely feels a little warmer than it should.
Best T-Shirt for Corgi Owners
Mockingbird discovers that her fellow spy and sometimes lover, Lance Hunter, is on the same cruise she's on. He has his Corgi and is wearing a shirt perfect for Corgi owners.
Suicide Squad #1
Best T-Shirt for Someone in the DC Universe
Leave it to Harley Quinn to wear a shirt that says "Rebirth." DC is currently using the Rebirth banner across all their books under the initiative of returning elements from the characters' previous continuity.
Best Sign that Pokemon Go is Everywhere
The Squad's current mission takes them out into space. Harley checks her phone (and amazingly has reception). It turns out she's able to find "Pokecuteys" up there.
Deadpool: Too Soon? Infinite Comic #4
Best Titanic Reference
While searching for clues to a murder, Deadpool and Ant-Man end up on a ship. Deadpool insists they reenact a certain scene from the movie.
Batman #5
Best Alternate Batman
Batman is trying to deal with the new hero, Gotham, who has become a little unhinged. As a distraction, he has Alfred suit up in a Bat-suit to drive the Batmobile while implementing the next part of his plan.
Power Man and Iron Fist #7
Best Alternative to Cursing
As a father, Luke Cage is trying his best to refrain from swearing in front of his kid. While talking to Misty Knight (and Jessica Jones on the phone), he lets out another classic alternative. Maybe it will catch on.
Supergirl: Rebirth #1
Best Return of a Character That's Been Away
Supergirl hasn't been in many comics lately. With her return, her powers were messed up. With some help, she's managed to reignite her abilities and makes a dramatic entrance.
Best Use of a Cape
People often ask why superheroes use capes. They can easily get in the way or be used against a hero during a fight. Supergirl shows how it can be used while fighting a Kryptonian werewolf.
All-New Wolverine #11
Best Evading Maneuver
S.H.I.E.L.D. believes Old Man Logan is going to kill someone based off a prediction from an Inhuman. Logan is currently recovering at Laura's apartment after she freed him when he was swallowed by Fin Fang Foom. Facing Captain America as well as S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers, Laura easily avoids being detained by them.
Harley Quinn #2
Best Kick
After an alien landed on Earth and assumed the form of a cow, he was processed into meat and eaten by several people on Coney Island. This resulted in the population being turned into zombies. Harley is fighting alone and shows off her skills.
Civil War II: Choosing Sides #4
Best Advice About Reading on the Internet
Of course, this isn't true for every single site on the internet, but Julie Power offers her brother some good advice about comments posted online.
Best Silent Showdown
It's Black Widow vs. Nick Fury Jr. The scene doesn't need any words or sound effects.
Aquaman #5
Best Reason Not to Attack Aquaman and Mera with Tanks
This could also be called, "Tanks, but no tanks."
There's a little misunderstanding going on. Aquaman allowed himself to be detained by the government. Mera broke him out, and they're being attacked by the military. Mera shows that tanks won't stop them. Neither will the helicopters in the next scene.
The Unbelievable Gwenpool #5
Best Example Why Being a Police Officer in a Comic World is Tough
Being a police officer isn't an easy job. You never know what to expect. Imagine what it must be like in a world with super-beings and creatures from the unknown. All they want to do is their job. There's just no way you can arrest a monster.
Green Arrow #5
Best Kiss
Black Canary thought Green Arrow was dead. She yells at him for letting her believe that was the case. When it looks like things are over between them, she makes it clear how it really is.
Black Widow #6
Best Preparation Before a Major Butt-Kicking Session
Black Widow's life has been turned upside down. She's about to confront those responsible for the hell she's been through. She looks like she's more than ready to deal with them.
Justice League #3
Best Question to Ask Batman
Batman is known for pretty much always being serious. You don't often see him smile. It could be that no one's offered him a cookie before.
The Mighty Thor #10
Best Reason to Take the Day Off
In the Marvel Universe, Roxxon is a scummy corporation. Its C.E.O., Dario Agger, is as low as they come. After being captured, protocol leads to the place being destroyed. At least the recorded message to employees offers the suggestion of taking the rest of the day off.
I Hate Fairyland #8
Gertrude is still trapped in Fairyland. She's visiting a seer to get her fortune. Once the fortune telling is over, she offers to give him a pair of eyes in exchange for a special golden coin. As you can see, the eyes are pretty gross.

Be sure to always look for the best stuff and always be sure to resist organ transplants from questionable sources. Chances are the results will end up being gross.
