The Dark Knight vs Watchmen
@attatje: Biersch picks the match up at random.
9-2 TDK
This one is really tough for me. I actually consider these two equal as far as cinematic achievement. And while Ledger is almost the deciding factor, Bale undoes his work. However I can't fault any of the actors in the Watchmen....
I guess I'll share some love with Watchmen, just so it doesn't get totally and. Completely stomped by TDK.
The Dark Knight. Nothing wrong with with Iron Man but TDK was an EPIC
The round is Dark Knight vs Watchmen
The Dark Knight.

ok lets step back to determine who gets 3rd and who gets 4th (this one doesn't have the normal restrictions regarding how many votes to win
Watchmen vs V for Vendetta
Watchmen
I'll give my vote to V, purely because it's a bit less preachy, and gave me just a bit more "wow" Factor the first time I watched it.
@wishiwassuperman: Really both good comic book movies imo. They're also both impactful to the comic book inudstry and yet a bit less known among the general public. It gives me up we'll see more of those like Kingdom Come and whatnot
6-3 Watchmen.

Oh definitely. I'm really glad to see they are finishing 3rd and 4th. In fact I couldn't agree with the top 4 more personally - but that's me. And same as you it gives me hope we'll one day see Kingdom Come done - I think that would be the single most epic CBM ever made. It also shows you can make a great and successful movie, even if the source material isn't that well known or popular. And to be fair with V - it was when the Wachowski's were actually at the top of their game - so I expected a great film from them at the time... Now a days however.....
EDIT - I also just realised both comics were done by Alan Moore... That's definitely saying something. Has anyone read V for Vendetta? Anyone know how close to the source material the film was?
@wishiwassuperman: Agreed. It would be an excellent movie. Not sure we'll ever see it though in the immediate future given that DC seems to want to heading into a cinematic universe. Kingdom Come isn't something you can just drop into a universe like that and screw everything up lol.
Couple more classics would be All-Star Superman which could make an interesting movie. Or even a "Death of Spider-Man" ala Ultimate Marvel style movie at the end of the series. Both movies might break my heart though >.<
The Sandman also is a classic that could make a really interesting movie and probably no one has heard of it.
and unfortunately I haven't read V for Vendetta. I probably should though.

Kingdom Come could be a way to "end" the universe they want to build though. I mean one thing CBM's of late have taught us is it's best if they have a limited life-span - otherwise your actors get too old anyway. Once the JL and relationships have been established and everyone has 1 or 2 solo movies under their belts, a Kingdom Come adaptation might be the perfect way to end it, and allow them to kick-start a new cinematic universe - assuming the allure of CBM"s hasn't faded by then. Much like how Nolan closed his Dark Knight Trilogy, and thus ensuring a new Batman story and universe can be introduced.
And yeah - those are actually some great suggestions for film adaptations - although I think All-Star's non-canonical features would add confusion to the GP about the character and his powers. Let's face it - most people still look at the Superman character and most DC characters as if they're watching the Super Friends cartoon. You give them All Star which is a massive throw-back to SA Superman (while adding in a potential death by Sunlight) and no one would really know what to think about the character then. Personally I'm probably happy to just leave it with the animated adaptation - even if they did cut a lot of it out.
@wishiwassuperman: Well. It doesn't specifically have to be radiation overdose or even ridiculous amounts of powers. It could be as simple as Lex finding a poison that will kill Superman over the course of a year and he has to prepare the world of his death.
I don't think they would take away from the heart of the story and could still be done. It would have problems sure, but most comic book adaptions have problems they need to overcome. Bottom line, it would be a great story to be told for ending Cavill's run on Superman or something. (Might have been legendary had the story been out at the time Reeve was playing Superman)
Before all that though, we need to get more characters on the screen from DC period :p. Batman/Superman is a fine start though...but its Batman and Superman...not really sure what's the big gamble using those two characters. Give us Wonder Woman. Give us Flash. Give us Aquaman (<3)!!! Etc!
7-3 Watchmen
Idk D: lets say V for Vendetta
V
Oh so you vote for this show?
Or This Qc Channel?
