Are the infinity gems/stones weak in the MCU

So there has been alot of hype around the infinity gems but none of them have any actual feats apart from the time stone. They have been the main objective for many of the villains, yet they dont have many feats. For example, Loki was walking around with a freaking infinity stone in his scepter yet he got beaten up by hulk and only used it mind control people. It then went to vision and he is not ridiculously powerful. I know it might just be that the bad guys do not know how to use them but come on.

They are. The only impressive one has been the power gem

The time and power gem have the most raw power.

Not really:

• Power Stone - Allowed the user to decimate planets with a single touch and withstand assaults from the Hadron Enforcer without injury.
• Time Stone - Controlled Time.
• Reality Stone - Was capable of altering all of reality.
• Mind Stone - Not yet mastered by Vision. Power bestowal, mind control.
• Space Stone - Created an impenetrable force-field of pure energy, powers the Bifrost and opened portals to the farthest reaches of space.

If anything though, they haven't been used to their full potential.

I dunno, they seem powerful to me.

They're powerful enough for the level the MCU characters are at. Anyone expecting Thanos to be casually destroying abstract level beings like in the original INFINITY GAUNTLET are going to be disappointed more than likely

Time, Power, and Space have all been pretty impressive IMO.

Mind has been solid.

Reality gem has been kinda meh, with Thor soloing Malekith despite him having the gem.

They aren't weak. The time stone does its job. The mind stone controls minds. Loki neither vision know its true power. The space gem made an indestructible shield. The power stone can easily destroy planets. The reality stone could wipe out all light from the universe. How is this weak? None of these stones have even been used to their full potential.

The bifrost was in operation without space stone. I think the bifrost is merely tech based on the space stone (like the arc reactor is implied to be, and the WW2 hydra weapons). The space stone also ripped open a hole in space to allow the Chitauri in. Technically a very powerful weapon if, say a portal were opened into a star and pointed at a planet.

I think the most important thing to remember is that all the beings using the gems don't necessarily understand their full power, even if they understand some of it. The power gem is the easiest to use and thus has the greatest feat (I haven't seen Doctor Strange yet for the time gem).

When was it that the space gem created an impenetrable shield? I can't remember that

@rukelnikovftw: In Avengers at Stark tower when they were trying to turn the tesseract off both Thor and IM agreed the barrier surrounding the cube was "impenetrable"

They are, compared to their Comic counterpart. But they have to be like that, because nobody in the MCU would be able to defeat Thanos otherwise.
