Am I the only one who thinks Thor is clearly lusting over Hyperion in that first scan? Look at him.

Well.. he doesn't eat or drink water.. right? He absorbs light for sustenance? Kind of like Super Man.. So that does make sense... Maybe he 'excretes' bad wavelengths of light and he needs a lead lined or metallic pair of depends!!!

I've only read a few things with Hyperion in them. He always seems like an interesting character. I do hope the Avengers don't turn him into another Sentry.

Hyperion has always been my favorite character since childhood(oh gawd a long time ago) and I always saw him as what Superman should have been like. I am ridiculously excited for his role in the new Avengers series and i hope they do him justice. I would love if they found a way to put out a Squadron supreme book in the future too.

@SupremeHyperion: That would be a great idea!

They could even do just a short 12 issue series taking place in the Avenger Hyperions earth and just have it end with the world being destroyed (sort of a flashback storyline).

Thor is relieved to have an equal to himself. Hyperion is also from another world in which the people there are possessed of great power. Finally someone who's bones he can't shatter with a back slap. lol

Hyperion is the same as superman powers wise right? Just not reliant on the sun or as over powered?

This Hyperion is pretty powerful, so far his two best feats are:

@Teerack: Pretty much yeah, though he did state he uses light a substitute for food/drink. However we don't really know the extent to which he relies on it yet...

@Teerack: Actually the real Superman has been spotted in Marvel many times and even on Spidermann and his amazing friends. Kent Clarkson is his name in Marvel.
