2016 DC Villains popularity tournament (short)

i was thinking about it, i understand when Batman or Joker are banned from some types of voting tournaments due to the popularity but usually in a who is the strongest or best or something where i get that Batman will get overrated due to his popularity but in a purely popularity contest leaving out the most popular hmm i don't know, first i was thinking only leaving the winner of the last year out but that just gonna mean two (max 3) Villains gonna switch at the top anyway if i leave every winner out in a few years Poison Ivy is gonna win :D but i was thinking to leave it like a defeat the king (the winner of the last year is the king he is not in the next years tournament but the winner goes up against him in the end after the finals and he stays the king unless someone beats him only then he enters the tournament the next year or seeding the top 8 for example so they don't need to be in the first rounds or something like that

If anything I'm pleased with how high Deathstroke and Black Adam made it. My favorite 2 villains in the top 5 most popular.

@exav3n: This was a great tournament. I think the double bracket system worked out really well too. You should do Marvel villains next.

Side-note: The right person won imo. I'm glad Black Adam and Deathstroke placed so high though.

not suprised

currently on a work trip so i will start the next tournament when i come back on Thursday or Friday and based on the straw poll it will be Marvel Villains

after i do all four i plan to make tournament for all DC/Marvel characters where the four winners will be in the Quarterfinals automatically the 8 other finalists will be a round before that and standard league will determine what other 8 will be joining them the league will have 4, 5, 6, ranked characters off all four tournaments playing each other one time so 12 characters overall from them the top 8 will advance

im also interested to see if there is a difference in what types of characters will have most spots in the playoffs if it will be even ore more villains more heroes more dc more marvel and so on
