Garth Ennis SECRET WARS Limited Series Announced

With Battleworld and Secret Wars on the way, the Marvel Universe is going to undergo a huge change. Several new titles have been announced and now it looks like the House of Ideas has Garth Ennis and Russ Braun working on a limited series called WHERE MONSTERS DWELL. According to Vulture, the five-issue series has a simple yet fun premise: "World War I–era fighter planes shooting dinosaurs."

The limited series will feature Karl Kaufmann, a.k.a. Phantom Eagle. Ennis says this story gives him the opportunity to write something "a little bit lighter" than much of his recent work. There's no comment yet on how this will tie into Secret Wars and the first issue goes on sale May 27. Viners, is this something you'd want to check out?

Never was a huge fan of dinosaurs in comics, but WWI planes and Garth Ennis make this an easy sell.

Gonna have a hard pass on this.

Ennis is writing War Stories (Avatar Press) which I thoroughly enjoy. I'm sure the transition from WWII to WWI with Dinosaurs, is a natural one for him. Which Translates to a Yes, I am going to pick this up.

A huge fan of the old school "Where Monsters Dwell", "Strange Tales", "Monsters on the Prowl" comics. Just wish it was a little more than dinosaurs..... but still going to read it most likely.

Ennis has written a plethora of fantastic war comics (check out his Enemy Ace story) and is overall probably the best writer in the medium, but I just have no interest in reading a comic revolving around dinosaurs...

I feel like I don't read Garth Ennis work for something "a bit lighter," but it's still Garth Ennis.

i recall this being a title of one of the classic Marvel titles from the 70s i believe.... it looks ok, i might have to pass on it though.

I think I hear Devil Dinosaur coming...
