New 'Fantastic Four' Teaser Trailer and Images

The moment we've been waiting for is here. What will the new Fantastic Four movie look like? 20th Century Fox has officially released a teaser trailer for it.

The movie is directed by Josh Trank and stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbell. It'll be in theaters on August 7, 2015.

I liked it. Better than the Ant-man trailer for me.

It looked kind of all right...

That wasn't terrible. Kind of interesting. Maybe everybody having low expectations will be the best thing to happen to this movie.

Good teaser trailer. I really liked the beginning of the Ultimate Fantastic Four run which is what I hear this is based on. It is going to be funny to hear all of the racist comments about Johnny Storm being African American instead of Caucasian.

This movie is gonna suck.

Still think Miles Teller and Jaime Bell were miscast. Pre-transformation Ben should be bigger since he's a linebacker, and Reed should be more commanding--like Richard Madden.

Not really looking forward to this one.

Is it racist to expect a brother and sister with the same biological mother and father to be the same ethnicity? So you'd be cool if they make a Black Panther movie and T'Challa's sister looks like the girl from the Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate package? I would have simply preferred they made BOTH Sue and Johnny black instead of just one of them, it works for the West family on Flash.

Has a very "Man of Steel" feeling to it.

@theblackhood: They aren't biological in the movie. Sue is adopted per all that has been released so far.

That was awesome! I'm still not sure it will please FF fans. But it looks like an awesome movie. I'm hyped!

Also, this trailer doesn't look bad, surprisingly so, but by God was it boring. I have the most passing of passing interests in the Fantastic Four but the only thing this trailer did for me was confirm that Dr Doom (maybe?) looks really stupid and the Thing looks good. I remain utterly unenthused about the film.

It looks better than the previous f4 movies

I love how it says "From the studio that brought you X-Men Days of Future Past" and not just "From the studio that brought you the X-Men franchise". It's like "From the studio that brought you the good X-Men movie! Y'know, that one that you all liked! Remember that one. Remember that we made a good one."

Not bad but it could of been worse.

We also want it to bomb because so far it looks terrible.

Every single person was miscast.

Trank and Kinberg break down the trailer and it is pretty neat to listen to. Gives a little insight into their vision and what they wanted to do with the movie. Gives me a little more faith than I had before when we only had speculation.

My point was about the previous poster making the assertion that anyone who wanted Johnny to be white must be racist. And again, I would have just preferred that they kept them biological brother and sister while making them both black. Part of that is because I am not a fan of Kate Mara.

Looks great imo. While I'm sure that a few people here actually were turned off by the trailer I'm getting the feeling that most of the hate I'm seeing would be popping up regardless of how good or bad the trailer was and that a lot of people aren't actually giving this a chance

Is a character's race really preventing you from seeing a movie? i hope it's good so people will shut up about it.

I think the interesting move would have actually been to make Reed black instead of Johnny. That plays against stereotypes, while Johnny's relative hipness, brashness, and womanizing plays along with existing (positive and negative) stereotypes about blackness.

@dcfox: I agree. outside of Doom being a blogger it actually exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Maybe a tad too dark but i'll take it over the previous FF movies already just based off the trailer. lol

Did anyone say that weren't seeing the movie because of the alteration of Johnny's race or his biological relationship to his sister? You can disagree with casting choices and still see the movie.

Doesn't feel FF. It feels like a movie with FF in it.

I don't think all of the comments about him are necessarily racist. I, personally, am just confused about how they're going to explain him being black when his sister is white. Is he adopted or something?
