One of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons was Dungeons & Dragons (DnD), so I wanted to create an 'exorcism-toned' time-travel adventure-love story with the Marvel super-villain Carnage and two DnD characters.

Dungeon Master had found a way to create perspective wisdom for the calculating wizard Venger. He knew Venger was diabolical and powerful but also lonely. Dungeon Master lured Venger into the cave where the isolated human dimension-travellers Eric and Sheila the Thief were hiding and opened a time-travel portal. He then tempted Venger to chase Thief through the portal, which he did, and the two unusual figures were transported into Los Angeles, California in the year 2001. Dungeon Master told the startled Eric, who cared for Thief, that this deed would bring together Venger and Thief and forge a metaphysically profitable friendship.

Venger and Thief found themselves in the American city of Los Angeles together, and it was Halloween Eve in the year 2001. Venger was at first furious but then calmed down and asked Thief why she thought Dungeon Master would want to transport them both through a time-portal to this bustling city-hub in the year 2001. Thief suggested that since she was a resourceful and clever female and Venger was a wily and calculating Wizard that perhaps their 'adventure' in Los Angeles would forge a unique friendship and relieve the complications of war and turmoil between Venger and Eric (who were otherwise sworn rivals).

Venger realized Thief was absolutely correct in her assessment of Dungeon Master's intentions. Eric cared for Thief but did not love her, and Venger secretly harboured some developing affections for Thief, though he did not disclose these feelings yet. Venger suggested to Thief that they wander around Los Angeles and see what they could discover together and if they spent enough time there, then Dungeon Master would relent and return them to their dimension (and time). Thief agreed.

Venger and Thief realized that Halloween Eve was festive in Los Angeles in 2001 and noticed numerous people walking around in interesting and colourful costumes, which facilitated their 'blending in' and going unnoticed, even though Venger looked like a humanoid god, and Thief was wearing her signature magical cloak. Venger started telling Thief that he was always curious about her friendship with the overly-courageous Eric and that he often worried about her. Thief replied that she always wondered if Venger was ever lonely in his castle, and Venger replied kindly that he sometimes felt lonely and wondered that she and Eric were doing together. Thief told Venger that she wished he and Eric could become friends someday.

As Venger and Thief continued their amicable conversation, which was developing romantically, they noticed a strange individual dressed in what seemed to be a red leotard outfit and was assaulting someone drawing money out of an ATM (automated money-machine attached to an L.A. bank center). The individual was screaming at the man trying to draw money out of the ATM, and the man gave out a yelp: "Oh no! It's you, Carnage!!" Thief told Venger that they should help the poor man being assaulted, and Venger suggested Thief become invisible with her magical cloak and shock Carnage and Venger would then shoot his energy beams into Carnage's eyes to blind him and chase him away. Thief agreed.

After their heroic deed was done and Carnage was seen fleeing into the darkness, Thief hugged Venger and the horrified man trying to draw money out of the ATM completed his transaction and thanked the two mysterious heroes and ran to his car and drove away. Venger remarked to Thief that Los Angeles in 2001 was not as mundane as he originally figured, and Thief remarked that their heroic deed would surely please Dungeon Master and, hopefully, motivate Venger to seek a fruitful (and peaceful) friendship with her guardian Eric. Venger agreed.

Suddenly, a time-portal opened up (it was midnight) and Dungeon Master appeared and escorted Venger and Thief back to their dimension (and time) and returned them to the cave to meet Eric who was waiting there for them. Dungeon Master told Venger and Thief that their mini-adventure should compel them to seek avenues towards peace and friendship, and Venger remarked that their heroic deed against the Los Angeles ghoul Carnage had affirmed in him his longstanding deep respect of Thief. Thief remarked that this new trust between her and Venger should create a nice peace potential between Eric and Venger. She then kissed Venger gently on his cheek, and Venger said, "Until love saves the day, I will simply and fondly remember our heroic money-machine deed, Sheila the Thief!" before riding away on his black winged horse. Dungeon Master realized his ambitious plan worked.
