EULOGY
We will forever know Steve Lucas a hero. He saved the lives of several of his war team. Steve Lucas, may you rest in peace.
Carl Lucas walks up to the alter.
CARL
I won’t be up here crying about my dad dying. While he will be remembered, his fight still isn’t over. I am going to enlist in the army, and take over in my dad’s fight!
One week later...
EXT. inside a plane,
CARL
How long until we land?
PILOT
Patience. Patient people know better.
Suddenly, the plane started to go down.
VIET CONG SOLDIER
Sir, we got a direct hit!
GENERAL
Good. Move in and kill at once!
Lucas begins to load his guns, but hears fighting going on outside. He looks out the window to see Viet Cong soldiers being defeated by several people in different uniforms. They enter the plane.
CARL
Who are you?
MAN
Easy son. My name is Michael Sooth, founder and leader of heroes for hire
CARL
I’m Carl Lucas. What’s heroes for hire?
MICHAEL:
We do what’s right. For the right price. We’re always looking for new recruits Carl. How would you like to join Heroes for Hire?
CARL:
I don’t know, I was hoping to be near my father’s section.
MICHAEL:
Steve Lucas? He was our best man. He saved us all.
CARL:
If he served with you, so will I. You’ve got yourself a new member.
MICHAEL:
Terrific! Becky, get Carl a uniform.
It is handed to him.
CARL:
You expect me to wear this?
MICHAEL:
What would you rather wear? A yellow puffy shirt and a tiara?
CARL:
Look, I’ll wear it.
MICHAEL:
Terrific! Now, the Heroes for Hire stand tall!
As they stand heroically...
CARL:
When do we get paid?
