It doesn't stink. It was well thought out and written. It just didn't have the villain encounter i was looking for. And for what its worth, it would have had my vote if not for Cbishop's story.

Not only does it not stink, but you had to edit almost half of your original word count out, just to scale it back to 600. You did so, and it didn't read like it had been cut. That's not an insignificant accomplishment, man. Be proud of that one.

I just cut out the filler. Like most of the descriptions, references to outer characters etc. Cut it to the bone, but kept the marrow intact. :3

That's what you have to do sometimes, when editing. Not just blowing smoke: I thought it was a nice edit.

True. I think your story needed to be longer. What you posted was funny, but I didn't personally find it enough to get my vote as the best. With more effort, you could definitely get votes.
