Earlier today, Marvel released a new poster for the upcoming Doctor Strange movie.

The movie features Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and will be in theaters on November 4, 2016.

Wow that has to be my least favourite MCU trailer by far.

Meh? You got to be kidding me? That was visually beautiful! It's a teaser, you aren't going to get everything. But in 2 minutes that was mind blowingly beautiful! And finally Marvel seems to be accepting of magic as not a form of science as they have been before this. This has me more excited then anything...ANYTHING else this year.

This seems wonderfully original.

Absolutely loved the teaser. Dr. Strange seems like he's been brought to life with great appreciation of its source material. The film seems like it'll be unique addition to the MCU.

It's fine so far nothing mindblowing. Do love the trippy feel tho. Hope the movie is really different from all the MCU movies we have seen and really brings something new and spectecular

Looks like Inception and was freaking awesome. Not sure where the "mehs" are coming from. That teaser made me want to start reading his comics.

I love the casting choices and the different feel it has to the other MCU stuff.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. I have really enjoyed a lot of the Marvel movies but I think Dr. Strange stands the best chance to feel unique. A lot of people have correctly pointed out how "TV" the Marvel films look. While extremely entertaining, they lack a true visual identity. This movie looks to break that trend and I'm looking forward to it.

Looks pretty cool. It reminds me of a Clive Barker novel. Alternate dimensions and shifting realities etc.

I'm glad they aren't going with the generic bubble gum magic effects.

Copying Inception? Like they're the only film to ever use surrealist physics. Is Christopher Nolan the only person allowed to do that?

Jeez everyone is so salty on this thread for some reason, it was a good teaser just calm down. We'll get a real trailer soon, this was just to give a taste.

That's exactly what I was thinking. A niche magic group in red garb doesn't seem to match any other group that is enemies of Strange's that I can think of. I'm hoping they aren't the main antagonists though. I would prefer some of Strange's more classic villains to be the main antagonist like Baron Mordo played by Chiwetel or Dormammu (or at least have him pulling the strings) as an introduction for the general audience. We'll just have to wait and see.

Looks good so far, lol at DCCU fanboys coming in with full on residual butthurt... Both DCCU movies sucked, instead of feeling sorry for yourselves all the time, get over it and move on, there are more movies to come.

They made the Ancient One a white female to avoid the stereotype of the wise Asian man and made Baron Mordo black. Not really white washing.

I'm not anything remotely resembling a Dr. Strange fan, but I have a feeling this is gonna be one bad-ass movie. The cast is amazing and I kinda knew the visuals were gonna be cool, now it's confirmed. I AM a big fan of Bucky and I'm twice as excited for Dr. Stange as I am Civil War. WOW!

Man, I'm hoping that's EXACTLY what happens! We already have several movies that look kinda like the real world, and one in space, so why not one that's trippy as hell to go with them?! C'mon, brah! :)

I think I understand why they were keen to promote the 3D version of this film. I think it would be trippy in such an awesome way.

Nice. Psychedelic as I expected(and wanted) it to be.

Fresh stuff from Marvel studios, something more to anticipate.

While I don't mind the changes, that stereotype would actually have been appropriate here, given the location. More importantly, I think it's such a waste to cast Tilda Swinton in the role. She has such a unique appearance that could be significantly better leveraged as any number of cosmic/supernatural beings with no set gender. Instead, they cast her as a figure doomed to die who doesn't at all take advantage of her appearance.

Would have much preferred her playing a role like Nightmare or some other such being than the doomed mentor.
