Warren Ellis Brings back Moon Knight

Great news everybody! Moon Knight is coming back. He's been absent for too long (his appearance in Age of Ultron sort of doesn't count since it kind of didn't happen...). What makes this interesting is Warren Ellis is the one bringing him back. It turns out he's a fan of the character.

“The man is demented in more interesting ways than I think Batman ever was,” he said by phone from his home in Southend-on-Sea, England, in a conversation punctuated with laughs and coughs. “[His] cape is actually a crescent moon and he goes out only at night and dresses in reflective white so you can see him coming. Now that’s nuts…. I like that.”

“The best Moon Knight stories for me were always ground-level but weird crime,” he said. “‘Weird crime’ has kind of been the touchstone for me for this revival.”

You can see from the cover above that Ellis will be joined by Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire. It just keeps getting better and better. Here's an early look at some pages.

The series will be part of the All-New Marvel Now and will be released in 2014.

I love Moon Knight but i don't think he'll ever be the same after all the cancellations & character altering he suffered .

Can barely contain my excitement at this news! I absolutely loved Ellis' take on the character in Secret Avengers so I wished he could write a series. Thank you, Marvel, for making my wish come true.

Also as an actual fan of MK I really don't care who's writing the series or if it's only for one arc. I don't care what the price of the comic is either. I'm simply happy that he has his own series again.

Hope it is as good as the last volume. It was amazing.

I've honestly never read anything Moon Knight related to my knowledge other than AOU. This guy seems to be over with the viners so I'm willing to trust em and give this series a shot.

I haven't read any Moon Knight, but the character really sounds interesting, and I would check out this book based just on the creative team.

is this a reboot of the charachter? because back when htmlcomics was up and running i read a tad bit of moonknight but i think he was popping pills or whatever and i didnt really care to finish it.
