Oh, will they have the scene of Leia kissing Luke some time later?

I am not saying I am a fan of incest....but it's actually a nice scene right?

I was hoping Vader Down would be the end of Vader's association with the killer droids and Aphra. The killer droids are one of those things that someone would write on a forum for Vader and think it'd be funny to have evil R2 and 3PO hanging out with Darth Vader but it comes off so hack to be honest. As far as Aphra, I don't mind the character too much but I find Vader's patience for her to be completely out of character and I'd like to get back to Vader on his own. Plus, I'd like for Star Wars and Darth Vader to start existing separately more. They've been fairly intertwined since the launch of both books and I'd like them to move away from that.

Not that I am complaining, just that the Darth Vader book has had the same artist since issue 1 and the art has been just as good.

@syncig: I think that they are showing that the Anakin part of him, while corrupted, is still there. He has his love of droids, and Aphra could be seen as a padawan to Vader, but without Force powers because of his fear of the Emperor.

There's a Romney joke in this preview...

Unless you are referring to the book titles, I kinda doubt you'd get that wish since Vader has long since been the 'face' of Star Wars.

@outside_85: I'm referring to the ongoing Darth Vader and Star Wars comic book series. I just think they've relied too heavily on the two comics being somewhat interconnected and I'd like to see them tell very separate stories in the future. One of my biggest issues with Vader Down was that nothing of real significance happened and that is, in large part, because most of the main characters are untouchable.

@zearing: Oh, I very much understand that is what they are going for but it really doesn't work for me. That seems like the kind of thing, as I said, that someone writing their own fanfic would come up with as a clever connection between Anakin and Vader but it isn't actually clever. It's pretty lame. That's just my opinion though. I know other people are enjoying the droids and Aphra a lot more than me.
