I can't tell if the writing is intentionally hammy, or if it's just bad. Probably both.

Not For Kids! This is a fact. He's called the Punisher, not the Funisher. Wise up parents.

Sigh not impressed by this preview so far. Hope the issue turns out to be good though. DIllion's art doesn't help either.

Greg Rucka's Punisher made be a huge fan with deep storytelling and great art but nothing so far has been able to follow up that incredible run.

I like the art and looking forward to read this. I just hope this is going to be as great as the previous one.

I'm not a fan of Dillon's art but I actually think this is pretty good for him.

But don't think you'll se any swearing or nudity in this :P

Any time Steve Dillon is on Punisher, I'm going to check it out.

How does Dillion keep getting work?

Art isn't bad. I'm 95% sure that everyone is stuck on comparing it to the last series' art, which was impeccable. And I haven't read anything Cloonan's done, but I like what I see. Everything except that last, unbelievably narmy line. "You can't kill Frank Castle... he's already dead."

Anything would have worked better than that.

Because a lot of people like his art also they know if they put Dillon on a book he will never be late or delayed and his art won't dip.

Looks good enough for me to check out.

I liked steve dillons art when paired with Ennis cynical humor. I have to check out the whole first issue to see.

Is it me or did they draw Frank to look like Jon Bernthal? I guess they want to capatilize on daredevil season 2 and the upcoming punisher show.

Something is just wrong with the art

the art looks horrible, and that "old" gun was the super typical way of drawing any handgun. Bleh.

Not feeling the art. I cannot remember the last time I read a Punisher comic though. The Punisher Max series always has a special place in my heart lol

@longbowhunter: I kinda want a Funisher comic now where he goes around and kills every evil plushy villain and instead of blood and gore it's stuffing and buttons.

Ehh..Not impressed. It's just a preview, I know, but so far nothing really catches my eye. The last statement in particular seems very generic and has been used multiple times in Punisher books. A quote like that needs more build up, and more context to go along with it, otherwise it just sounds odd and out of place.

Hopefully the author proves me wrong and I'll enjoy the hell out of this.

@multipleman: I thought the same thing when I tried to read Wolverine Origins...then I read Preacher, and his style grew on me. He's definitely an acquired taste but, for me at least, Dillon and Punisher are like a married couple at this point.
