So... the Thing of Maestro's universe/reality is none other than General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross? That's interesting. And it'll the fight all the more interesting when the Maestro beats him nearly to death.

I was kind of hoping it'd still be Grimm under that rock hide, considering hope much I love his banter with his enemies, especially with the Hulk. In fact I could already see him dismissing Maestro's psycho babble. That said, this is definitely an interesting take, and I guess it's kind of hard to not have fun with the chaotic state of the Marvel universe.
It is a pretty interesting and logical choice given the history between Banner and Ross. Either ways, I hope it's a long and brutal battle.

Very interesting indeed. I did not suspect Ross would be the Thing in fact as the preview started i already guessed where it was going but i thought Talbot would end up becoming the Thing.

Would God Doom allow Maestro to have his face plate tied to him like a trophy as seen on the variant cover?

Greg Land is actually doing good work on this issue, I'm impressed.

it's already revealed that Maestro and Doom will fight in issue 5, Maestro will try to dethrone him and take over Battleworld.

This would mean so much more if The Thing wasn't on the LOWER end of the "heavy hitter" scale.

Seriously, I think Colossus is stronger and tougher than Thing.

Hulk ANNIHILATES Thing.

I think it goes like

Juggernaut>Hulk>Colossus>Thing>Strong Guy

With a huge goddang gap between Hulk and Colossus.

I know!

I've never been a fan, but this is by far the best work I've ever seen him do.

If he was this solid all the time, I might even buy books for his art instead of despite it..

@degalon: This Thing is an alternate universe Thing, he can literally be as strong as the PAD wants him to be.
