Aaahh looks soo coooool. Constantine has been great. Makes me miss Justice League Dark. I really like DC's mystic/dark stuff. Deadman's mini series from early New52 was among my most favorite reads along with the previous Constantine series.

Is this a good jumping on point?

Loving the artwork of the new Constantine run, gives it a real distinct separation between volumes (in a good way). The first 5 issues where fun but i just hope they start building towards something bigger now?

The at looks great.

Probably. Each issue so far has been somewhat self contained, and this is the start of a whole new "arc" so its probably as accesible as things can get.

All you need to know about the previous issues is that a demon ate the souls of some of John's dead friends, and something tragic happened to his old girlfriend. Oh, and the dude taking a selfie on the cover is being set up as John's latest love interest.

All you need to know about John in general is that he's a smartass magician and bad things tend to happen to everyone who gets close to him.

There you go, now you're all set to enjoy one of DC's best series :D

@lagozzino: thank you! I've read all the Hellblazer stuff just hadn't read much new 52 Constantine stuff

I read a few issues of the original hellblazer and always feels like this story doesn't hold John true to the original.

But then again I only read about three issues.

I love it and follow it for what it is, but John was portrayed much better in Injustice imo
