Why is Bartolo Colon Doc Ock?

Dan Slott and this book can go to hell

It should have been years before we see Doc again. This version obviously doesn't have the character development Ock had at the end of Superior, which is not great.

Yeah, Doc Ocktaarms isn't a big deal. His story IS and they rushed it as with all stories.

Question you get the opperitunity for a new body and you still keep the bowl cut. Who does that.

@jayskee: What character development? He was still a pompous, egotistical asshole with delusions only fitting for a supervillain when he was in the driver's seat in Peter's mind. The dude literally took over a section of Manhattan with underlings and giant robots. This is something that a real hero would never do.

@jwp526: He gave Peter back his body at the end and admitted that Peter was a better hero. How is that not character development??

@jayskee: probably because it was unfortunately undone with the time travel stuff in spiderverse.

I was really hoping that this whole thing would ultimately develop into the relaunch/continuation of The Superior Spider-Man. I loved that story arc so damn much.

@ravenkingxxx: the bowl cut would be the least of my concerns. I'd be complaining I'm 300lbs again.

I loved ASM 19 so much i'm ready for this.

@oldwasher: That actually wasn't undone. At the end of Spider-verse Otto was sent back to a certain point in the Superior run, before it ended. So really, there's no issue of character development here at all actually. The mind stored in this little spider robot is the mind of Otto before he admitted that Parker was the better Spider-Man.

That cover....wow, i love it. I may just go buy this particular book for the cover!

Not that i have anything against the story line, Spider-man or anything else related to comics, i just don't actively read them any more....this cover though, i wouldn't mind collecting it.

I think bringing Ock back in this way can still work but Slott needs to make sure of one thing: Peter needs to point out to this program how much the real Ock had changed by the end of the Superior Spider-man and changed for the better. Please don't throw out the great character development the character had by say that this is the real Ock. Make it clear that this is an outdated copy of him that hasn't learned what the real Ock did. I like that Peter was able to change one of his greatest enemies into a better at the end of their life.

But Slott thinks hes being cool :/

@raunjisto: yeah thsts what I meant. Otto erased himself from existence pretty much at the end of superior Spider-Man. but at the end of spiderverse otto put his mind into the octobot before he was sent back in time and forgot everything. I still feel it kinda undoes the development he gained in superior Spider-Man though because doc ock saved himself from forgetting spiderverse and knowing he would eventually give up his mind to peter so he now has none of that development.
