GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #1 came out this week. We're finally seeing where Brian Michael Bendis is taking the characters and series. Today Marvel has unveiled the variant cover to the second issue by Paolo Rivera.

love this book, love this team... even IM being on it is okay. can someone tell me why Groot has those light diodes on him. Are we seeing the start of techno-Groot? has Tony Stark worked his magic on another unfortunate victim? anyone else think this series will NEVER touch on what happened to Richard Rider?

<p>I'm pretty sure when star lord first started way back in the 70 s (I think ) he had blond hair. Also what is star-lords new costume ? In some pictures it's whit and others its blue pick one marvel also when is issue 2 out cause you guys have two dates. Whitch one is it ?.</p>

I didnt like star lords new costume in issue 1 i hope it gets changed! hopefully it will touch on rider's no show in 616 universe.
